Ok.. after watching the video of Casey buying foot at Target.. no, that chick doesn't appear to have ever looked at the ID card. As soon as Casey handed her both the check and ID, the lady placed the ID card behind the check.

I've noticed something becoming more frequent in my shopping trips- that when you have your ID ready to go, it's not checked as often. It's like they assume since you have your ID out, you have nothing to hide. I've had my ID out plenty of times, and not always been asked for it.  It should be an automatic deal.. especially when writing a check.

Opera has a Magnifier on the bottom right side of all windows I always put in on 150%  to read them. I think IE has it also.

Hello......and yes I will ask...I knoe that the reciepts from JC Penneys were abtained through a court order for discovery in this case and Im sure they have already gotten them....Cindy was so stupid to think just because she didnt want to give those reciepts to LE that they coulnt get them because they can... I will see if he will tell me anything about what was on them............maybe I wont hear the big NO  word from him again...LOl

"The victim stated that the check (an additional one that had not been processed yet) was presented electronically to AT&T in the amount of $574. The victim advised that she retrieved her check book back from the EX-BOYFRIEND (NOI) of the suspect."

Either her boyfriend Tony moved away from her quickly right then and there, or he had been trying to dump KC and she was trying to prove she was quite the little homemaker by buying groceries, etc.

If he says "NO" ask him to just verify with a simple head knodd if there is a suitcase or weights on any of the reciepts.  Then again you are on the phone so ask him to tap twice for yes and once for no.  Thank you again I love your insightful posts!!

Can anyone make out this receipt?  What is xmil plastic for 9.99 ?  Of course my brain wonders if it is extra millameter strong plastic trash bags - but i am not familiar with this store and it seems there are several xmil things.

I don't know.  I think it would be easier to alter the checks then to obtain a fake ID or to alter one for that matter.  But I'm not a criminal so I could be wrong.

I had a book of checks stolen in a break-in.  Within less than a week, someone wrote $5000 worth checks.  One was to Walmart for over $800.  I asked the manager how that could happen, since I always have ID checked when I write a check.  He showed me where they had verified the driver license... The person put her picture and my info on a fake driver's license (supposedly "tamper-proof" in our state).  The police told me that with computers and scanners, it was not difficult to make authentic looking licenses.  So she may well have had a fake ID with AH's information.
