This case has all the ingredients for a whodunit movie, and the things that have been speculated are things that you feel dirty thinking about...How did the neighbors not notice before this that there was something just NOT right about the Anthony's? I for one live in a fishbowl and unfortunately see or hear alot of the neighborhood utohs..with all the speculated dysfunction I wonder if the neighborhood does not have light to shed on these people. JMHO This is what I said ss to the poster I was trying to quote

You would think that in a child neglect case  there would be statments from the neighbors.

OK, let me try to get some feedback here cuz I really am just now finally attempting to process mitochondrial DNA information & how this could have led LP to a belief that LA had the ability to be the birth father. 

My understanding is that mitochondrial DNA is passed on by a Mother ONLY but if a DNA sample is obtained wouldn't it show the mitochondrial DNA from the father as well?   Wouldn't Shirley Plesea have the same mitochondrial DNA as CA, KC & Caylee AS WELL AS LA?  Because a son would have the same mitochondrial DNA as a daughter, wouldn't they?

SOOOOOOO if the hair folicle DNA sample that was expressed to either be that of KC or Caylee that the birth father's mother's mitochondrial DNA should ALSO be present & there was only one, would that be a connection?????????????

Does anybody have a real knowledge of this here that could set my thinking in the right direction cuz I am really confused.

I could be way off base here, but I thought mitochondrial DNA was only passed from female to female? Don't know where I got that notion, and it could be completely wrong, but I've only ever heard of mitochondrial DNA being passed on from mother to daughter.

Well a poster in this thread, sorry don't remember which one, did post that a duplicate marker (not quoting, that's how my brain retained it) could be involved so that a bit later made me think of a son's mitochondrial DNA but unfortunately in this circumstance there are other ways that I could see that occurring having no other details & yes those circumstances are disturbing & I don't want to think about them at this time or really speculate either.

On a personal note, I believe that I have siblings that my sister & I have that we don't know.  My sister has children & I fear that something horrible could happen & we would have no way of knowing or stopping it from happening due to our not knowing our paternal background AT ALL, weird things do happen.

The reporter on NG and LP have both said that LE knows a lot more than they have told thus far and that there will be some surprises.  I just wonder what else they know.  Maybe that is why so many are speculating about the father of Caylee.  So far, they do not have the body and supposedly they do not have any container or bag used to put the body in for transporting.  I just wonder what else of great significance they could have that would relate to the case....what are the possibilities.

  1.  Name of the father turns out to be shocking and unexpected.
  2.  Casey had some associations other than the ones we have heard about or some sideline occupation like escort or drug mule.
  3.  Casey has an STD.  That has been hinted at.
  4.  More evidence of premeditation.
  5.  Casey has been blackmailing someone.  Just a thought out of left field.
  6.  Casey will claim the abuse excuse.
  7.  Cindy had planned to do away with other people for her own gain, maybe Cindy and/or George, Amy, etc.

Fladeedah - it's my understanding that website was put together by people that have worked with TES that post at Websleuths.  I do know that they posted some incorrect information at one point. 

I agree with you, I'd wait to hear direct from Tim Miller or at least from Red after he's spoken to Tim Miller.
