Another decomp question.   Does anyone know if it would be difficult to get the odor of decomp out from under ones fingernails.  I looked at tons of Casey pics and it seems she didn't often get her nails done, maybe one picture long ago.  I was just wondering if getting her nails done was just part of her self indulgent spree or maybe to help rid the odor.

About the bone...I am active in a group that looks for old cold cases so to speak. I refer new search people just for their own comfort level (because we tell them to report every bone they find) to a web site that is called skullsunlimited.com because this website offers for sale both mounted and disarticulated skeletons of animals commonly seen in the wild. There are great pics on this site that can be looked at . Check it out. Of course there are exotic animals as well but very useful site if you are going to volunteer to search and you want to know if you have found something yourself right then and there!!!!!!

All I know is this. If I, as a layman, were out looking for a missing person I would consider every bone a humans until someone told me it wasn't. That someone being an expert. I can see how invision is unsettled over this. I would be too.

She "over purchased" on a LOT of things...something that a person who was spending their own hard earned money might not do as they would be carefull not to over spend. (Unless you are me and spent a crap load today at the grociery store...never send a hungry preggers woman to Publix..end of story!)

She was not there ... but I found out later it was some of her team ....

Well, mybe she was "pychically" sending a signal to LE, NOT. IMO, they should have called LE no matter what they thought the bones were, if they aren't a forensic anthropologist then they don't have the skills to make that judgement call.

Island, that's just what my husband said after I made him give me a guess. He had some kind of course eons ago where they identified bones.  (He guessed pelvic area but said it should be viewed by a forensic anthropologist.)

Thanks, PJ I appreciate that. It's just one of those things in life...  it's part of why I'm scared to have any more boy kitties in my home.

When I was a kid, one of my male cats had an eye scratched out in a fight, too.  He also had to be put down.  I still remember how sad it was and it was almost 50 years ago.  I have since learned that sometimes after mating, the female cat will turn on the male and go for his face area.

Since we are on the wonderful subject of decomp, I am surprised that Tony and others did not smell decomp on Casey when she had been driving around in that car.  It supposedly permeates everything.  I'll bet George had to shower for an hour after driving it from the impound lot.  There is something that people can get to wash the smell of a skunk off a dog or off themselves.  But I would think that bodily fluids could sink into the carpeting or other covering in a trunk and be very difficult to get rid of.

Does anyone know why Casey was fired from her job at Universal, if indeed, she was fired?  I am wondering if it was for stealing or perhaps padding her resume.  I know that she worked for the Kodak part of Universal, right?
