Just a quick comment regarding how long these proceedings will take.   I really don't agree with the two attorneys on NG last night who said that it will take days or even weeks. 

I would be very surprised if it isn't wrapped up by late today or early tomorrow.   

I do hope that we'll hear what the new evidence from the Body Farm is.  I've got my fingers crossed. 

I don't know how I'm going to go all day without an update - maybe I can hop online at lunchtime.

Monken - I misread your post. Mammy is right. NONE of the testimony will ever be made public that occurs in the Grand Jury proceeding. Just a "true bill" will. We won't hear a word if there is a "no bill".

I'm sorry Knayknay & Mammy, so IF Casey is indicted we will hear the witness testimony, right? But if she's not, we won't. Is this correct?

all you will know is the outcome. And to be honest unless the evidence is extremely compelling (meaning it's a slam dunk) it's hard to imagine that a total of 6-12 witnesses on one day are going to get her indicted. These things usually take quite a bit of time.

I think I have figured out George's role here . . . it is to say whether or not he was actually in the trunk.

Did Casey block his view or did he see the inside of the trunk and was there anything that could conceal Caylee's body?

Did George stand off to the side and was his view blocked when Casey said "here are your F'in cans".

If he removed the cans himself (and he can not lie to the grand jury, he MUST tell the truth) then that indicates that Caylee was disposed of on or before 6-24-2008.

If he says there was something in there like the plastic bag - he could be a target himself or it opens the time-line up a little more to possibly very early on 6-27-2008 when the car was abandoned at Amscot.

We all know there was a bag in there - it was found at the tow-yard. Did the bag still contain the body of Caylee or was she gone? I believe this is where his testimony fits in.

George is the only person with a view of the trunk and we all know the trunk contained Caylee. He's the most important eye witness.

Parents lie to protect their children all the time, but if George lies, he's getting indicted for perjury. He's walking a very tight rope. He needs to be very careful - or - he's going to jail too.

George, if he has played a role, will be able to claim the 5th against self incrimination, but that will open more areas to investigate and give the State's Attorney are possible accomplice.

At 9:24 George Anthony was just escorted in to the grand jury room along with  his attorney Mark NeJame.  Just before going inside, Anthony was visited in a conference room by an FBI agent and Prosecutor Jeff Ashton. Ashton is a veteran prosecutor who has tried many homicide cases over the years. He tried to first successful DNA case in Orange County two decades ago.

A nineteenth grand juror has also arrived. A man who appears to be in his late 20s or early 30s. That makes almost an even split of ten women and nine men. A court baliff explained to a member of the public trying to get inside that this is not an open proceeding.

State Attorney Lawson Lamar told us he would comment after the hearing was over.

A spokeswoman for the ninth judicial circuit says the grand jury’s findings will be read in open court after the jurors reach a decision. If an indictment is reached, the suspect would not be named if the person is not yet in custody.

No timetable yet on how long it might take.

9:25 a.m. George Anthony just walked into the courtroom to testify before the grand jury. The other witnesses are waiting in various conference rooms on the 23rd floor. There's more than a dozen media standing outside the courtroom to capture the various people going in and out.

Most interesting post for free.....Hello Monkey Family....regarding my post this morning...my info came from The Body Farm....and the Oakridge Facility they are in conjunction with....the Oakridge facility did the air testing from the trunk of Casy's car....the call I made today...confirmed...that both facilities....had NEW evidence for testing in the Caylee Anthony case....and I did pass this info to LP...Des

Body Farm, that's what I thought when she posted the first bit of info. And maybe this testing could be on something found a few weeks ago and it is still considered NEW. In other words, it is not the air testing, stain, or maggots, but something found in searches that we don't know about and the Body Farm is calling it NEW. Hmm. I hope so.

but if there is no indictment, or until there is one, they are NOT allowed to.

these witnesses will not be speaking because they are FBI lab techs and forensics crime scene specialists. They will also be testifying at the trial, should one occur.

If the witnesses were say - Tony L or Clint, they might speak, but the witnesses I have heard about are not EYE witnesses (other than George, and he will not say what he was asked), but specialists.

Caylee Anthony - The Scoop Behind The Dress
If you watched Nancy Grace tonight, you'll recall that she made a big deal out of the discovery of a dress - similar to a dress of Caylee's - that was "just found" near the airport. During the show, Grace interviewed Tim Miller, who mentioned that the find had been leaked to a member of the media. I am that member of the media and I can provide you with the details of that find.

On Saturday, I received an email from an individual in Florida, who informed me that he was with a group who found a child's dress in an area, not far from the airport - that was identical to the dress that Caylee is wearing in photo #3 at the following web link: www.wftv.com/slideshow/news/17399904/detail.html.

Texas EquuSearch did not make the find. It was found by an independant search group that had helped out in the first search for Caylee.The email went on to describe the item and the fact that the individual had an "exclusive" photo of the dress.

After receiving the email, I contacted Tim to confirm the find. As you can imagine, Tim was quite upset that the information had been leaked. Not only that, but he was also upset because the information the person was providing constituted a direct violation of search and rescue protocol.

Tim told me that the authorities did not believe the dress was connected to the Caylee case. He also said that the dress was "too big" for Caylee. As a result, I chose not to publish that information. The last thing we needed was another media frenzy, at a time in which Tim was trying to determine what to do. Grace has since picked up on the find, which is why I am addressing it now.

I am not going to identify the name of the organization involved, as they should not be judged by the actions of a single person; however, I will say that Tim told me that there are suspicions regarding the origin of that dress and how it ended up in that area.

I find the sentence in red to be very interesting.   The fact that the dress was in good condition alone sounds suspect to me.   If I was a betting woman, my money would be on it NOT being Caylee's dress, but a plant.   The part I'm not sure about is who would have planted it.

I have always thought George was the accomplice but if he get in there and GIVES THE 100percent truth and he puts the nail in caseys coffin...
My views of him will definitly change..
