I am probably in the minority here....but...today is really a very SAD day....a father has to testify against his child...because she won't stand up and take responsibility for her actions...she'd rather put her father in a postion of doing something no parent should have to do! This is the beginning to the end of life as any of them have known it in the past...no matter how dysfuntional this family WAS...they did consider themselves to be a family...and within this family was a little girl who WAS loved and will never have a chance to grow up....this whole day is very very SAD....

I so agree Sunny.  I'm sure little Caylee's presence is felt in that room today and the sadness of her life lost.

Before George Anthony and his attorney Mark NeJame entered the courthouse, they talked briefly with the media. According to WESH 2 News reporter Amanda Ober, George Anthony appeared emotional and asked everyone to pray. NeJame expressed how hard it was for a father and grandfather to have to testify about his daughter and granddaughter.  Neither took questions. At this time, George Anthony has been inside the grand jury room for about 45 minutes.

GA asked for everyone to pray for Caylee at 11am.

I agree Sunny....I really do..I cannot wait to see justice....But, it really is sad....

No parent has a rule book on how to raise their child..kids come into this world and we do our very best to bring them up as good, model , God fearing and wholesome citizens.... I feel as though Cindy did the best with what she had....she just went about it all wrong..and now, Casey, through environment and genetics, is a sociopath...

They are dysfunctional..but alot of folks are....
They still do not deserve to have their grand daughter killed and killed at the hands of their own child...

I dont like the A's personally..I feel as though they have obstructed justice, covered for Casey when they shouldnt have, etc...
But I also think that Cindy is in denial...and is telling herself anything but the truth...Not to protect Casey, per se..But to keep from having to look at and blame herself....

This being said..I so hope that GA does the right thing today.....and that he can help to bring his grandbaby home....

I know what he was doing and why he was saying that the way he was. When you are in charge of people, you are responsible for them, whether you like it or not. No, no official person at TES found the item, but the person who did did something wrong by leaking it. He is taking responsibility for their actions. As they say, the buck stops here. He's not about to go pointing fingers and crying on TV. That person signed up to be a search team member and was supposed to follow the rules, they did not and now he is left cleaning up their mess.

KCJackie - I would like to thank you for your focus on Caylee's case and your work with the information that people who know what they are talking about have given us.  You are certainly not the only one who has been working very hard in this direction.  I know that you have put out a lot of effort trying to followup on the tips that Red and others have given us.   SM has an incredible reputation for first class posts and the extensive research into the facts surrounding Natalee's case and the cases of other missing persons.  We are advocates for victim's rights.  SM is the best forum and the dedication of the members is what has distinguished SM from the general chat blogs/forums that are all over the Internet.  I can't even imagine how much SM has helped investigations for victims over the past three years with the facts and information that we have uncovered.  The government of Aruba and the Sloot supporters despise us for what we have uncovered.  There has always been general discussion about the various cases, O/T comments, and lots of humor, but the underlying effort and philosophy has always been to find justice for the victims.  Members have always had different skills.  Some are analytical and some focus on other aspects of the cases.  I would like to invite the new posters to take some time to read through some of the Natalee, Shango, and other missing persons threads just to see the tempo and focus that has taken place over the past three years.  SM wasn't founded as a general community chat board.  It was founded by Red and Tim who are victim advocates and actively involved in searches for the missing.  Many of the long term monkeys on SM are also part of this group. 

I appreciate the analysis and serious discussion of the cases as well. But I also appreciate the kindness and friendship of this board. If the latter disappears, I for one, will be much more reluctant to post. I value new opinions and insights, and one's post count does not in any way reflect one's intelligence or sincerity.

ooooppppssss sorry I did misunderstand...I haven't always felt sorry for George...but lately my thinking towards him has changed...I can not even IMAGINE what a difficult day this has to be for him.....I hope he tells the gospel truth and knows that everything he says is for CAYLEE...not against his daughter....

I agree 1000% that this CASE is sad for all the reasons Sunny mentioned. However, this day is joyous in that we are seeing the first signs of justice for Caylee. --JMO

maybe change your refresh rate to 60mHz or . . .  120 if you have that ability. Most monitors only go to 60.
