I wonder what LE will do with the child neglect charges now that KC has been indicted for murder 1? It was speculated on NG last night that the neglect charge would be dropped.

Reporter on WFTV actually said that Casey Anthony may be preparing to represent HERSELF!   (With taxpayer dollars, of course!)

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -A grand jury has issued a sealed murder indictment in the disappearance of 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Prosecutors did not immediately release the name of the indicted suspect, saying the person has not been arrested yet. They also asked that bond be revoked. According to the Associated Press the sealed indictment is a murder charge.

Judge Belvin Perry granted both motions.

Casey Anthony waited Tuesday more than a dozen miles away. Her attorney says she would turn herself in if she is the person indicted.

Anthony, 22, has been called by investigators a suspect in her daughter's disappearance, but so far has only been charged with child neglect, lying to investigators and some unrelated fraud and theft counts.

Casey Anthony's father, George, testified behind closed doors to the grand jury along with a detective and an FBI agent.

Shortly before the announcement Casey Anthony was handed off to an unknown person or persons. While in route from her attorney’s office with her mother, Cindy Anthony, Anthony stopped the vehicle under a bridge near Boggy Creek road in south Orange County near an SUV.
Casey Anthony was placed into the SUV and taken away. Where she was bound was unknown.

Lawson Lamar, State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.spoke in court shortly after the judge returned.

"The spring term of the Orange County Grand Jury has listened to evidence today,” Lamar said. “And has heard evidence from scientific sources including the FBI laboratory, the Oak Ridge laboratory, an FBI agent and quite a bit of work done by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 

They have considered the evidence; they have deliberated and have returned an indictment.  In this indictment, the named defendant is not in custody, and for that reason, this need be sealed if your honor will so order until such time as this person is reduced to custody.   Count one is a capital count and that being the case, and the State averring that the evidence is compelling, we would ask the Court to set bond at no bond on count one an issue a capeas.”

You know.. I wonder if Cindy broke down handing Casey over to LE.  Any thoughts?   I mean.. she's handing her child over to authorities (true she has no choice, but still). I bet that would be a tough thing for a parent to have to do. That said, I hope this is a snap into reality for Cindy. She needs it.

4:05 p.m.: State Attorney Lawson Lamar did not speak with the media after the presentation of the true bill to Judge Belvin Perry. Because the defendant who was indicted is not in custody, the judge sealed the indictment. Lamar said it was a captial crime — one punishable by death. We won’t know more for a bit, perhaps as is expected, Casey Anthony is taken into custody. She is at her parents’ house.

this was going to be the outcome no matter what... and what a dummy Baez is. Playing games with the life of his client, dragging Florida and the Nation through this muck and acting like an overall jackass.

Casey and Baez should have taken the plea deal offered a month or so ago...I blame Baez for that entirely.

Rob, I agree with you that this was no accident.  She murdered the child because she didn't want to be bothered with caring for her.  Cold and callous as that sounds, that's the motive. Cindy turned her over to sheriff's deputies under a bridge to avoid the video of a perp walk. 

Well trolls are usually found under a bridge. Especially evil ones.

The reporter at the courthouse said 5 - 10 minutes on the news conference from the sheriff.  It's funny to watch because it's one sided.  You can't hear the IFB from the studio, just what she's saying on her live shot.

ok...this is cracking me up. The reporter in front of the courthouse, I don't think she realizes the camera is on all the time. You can watch her fixing makeup etc in between times she is live and not.
