At this point, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised for KC's defense to be that aliens abducted little Caylee and told her if she talked, they would come back for her. Of course, we already know that her family would completely back her story and even say the spaceship landed in their back yard. Point made....is thie entire family completely nuts???  I really want to hear from someone....anyone.....that knew this family when KC and LA were younger.  I want to know if this family has always been completely dysfunctional and lived their entire lives in denial of any resemblance of normality as we know it???

I second that.

I third that. I appreciate all you do for us monkeys, Ms. Janet!

Above is the link the Guardian ad Litem program.  You can read all about it.

I agree with you but on July 16th, they had no forensic evidence Caylee was dead. When Casey was first arrested for Child Neglect in the investigation of her missing child, a guardian ad litem should have been appointed right there and then.

Evening Monkeys.  Lots of jumpin and swingin going on tonight.  I find George's behavior and statements quite contradictory.  I'm wondering at the reasons for that.  For example, he seemed quite heartbroken and somber before his GJ testimony, and stated he broke down five times during his testimony.  Today, he's proclaiming his granddaughter alive and he's searching for her.  If he believes she's alive and he's looking for her, then why the heartbroken and somber act before his testimony?  Why would he, in his own words, break down five times if he believes Caylee is alive?  This overnight change of attitude and words is very strange.

AZ ... George Anthony made it clear prior to the Grand Jury hearing that his position had not changed in regards to Caylee not being deceased.  Cindy also made it very clear the George was not about to say anything that would implicate Casey in her daughter's demise.

Cindy Anthony: Grand Jury Is Political Move
Father George Anthony To Testfiy At Hearing
POSTED: 10:05 am EDT October 13, 2008
UPDATED: 5:55 pm EDT October 13, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- One day before a grand jury meets to consider murder charges against Casey Anthony, her mother, Cindy Anthony, is breaking her silence.

Anthony is accused of child neglect after failing to report the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, for one month.

Cindy Anthony accused state attorney Lawson Lamar of seeking an indictment for political gain.

Casey Anthony's father, George Anthony, will be the only member of the Anthony family called to testify before the 18-member grand jury.

On the eve of that hearing, George Anthony said he is trying to keep the search efforts positive. He is helping the group Kid Finders in their quest to bring home alive not only his granddaughter Caylee, but many other missing Florida children.

"It's a quest. It's a mission. It's the rest of my life," he said.

George Anthony said he is not nervous about testifying.

"He doesn't want to, but it's not anything that is going to hurt my daughter in any way," his wife Cindy Anthony said.

Last week, Baez requested more travel time, allowing Anthony to visit sites to help her defense prepare her case.

Other motions include a request to keep Anthony's travel schedule sealed from the public, and they sought the preservation of DNA samples so the defense can conduct their own tests.

Janet, George Anthony said he is not nervous about testifying yet he says exactly the opposite of this on the courthouse steps before testifying.  I think George says what Cindy wants him to say when in her presence.  He then says what he has to say when she is not in the court room.

I,m concerned about the attorneys that Casey has. They don't sound like they
should be looking after a very high profile case like this. If she is found guilty
there will be a reversal because of insuffucient attorneys. Millions of dollars will
be spent from a city that has already spent that and more. Will nothing be done about this before it happens.

Plus George's testimony lasted about an hour and the other witnesses were more like 30 minutes each.  Yes, George's testimony was crucial IMO.

I just think children that are missing (even those pressumed dead by the investigators) and whose parents are suspects in their disappearance needs a voice. If not a guardian, some kind of court appointed missing person advocate that can be their voice in court.

And, if there had been a child present to be protected, a GAL would have been appointed.  The reality is that there was no child present to have her rights protected.  The child needs to be in the custody of the state for a GAL to be appointed.

Just stopping by before I hit the bed and had to respond to this post... Maybe the Anthony's will say that the suspicious indentation in the grass was where the spaceship landed????
