Exclusive: Will Lynch Mob Journalism Silence Obama’s Critics?Renee Taylor

While the answer to “Joe the Plumber’s” question by Barack Obama clearly proved the socialist agenda of the candidate, it is the aftermath that followed that should send chills down the spine of every American who believes not only in the First Amendment right of free speech, but our right as American citizens to question those we elect and may possibly elect into office.

When Gov. Sarah Palin was named as John McCain’s running mate on the Republican ticket, Leftist media propagandists were immediately dispatched to Alaska to comb through her garbage and badger with questions anyone and everyone who had contact with her before and after her political career began. The governor’s private e-mail account was hacked. Her family was put under a microscope under the guise of “journalism.” The excuse for this intrusion was that “no one knew her,” but within days we knew not only Gov. Palin, but her family as well – better than we knew the Democrat candidate for president. A candidate, I may add, who was a junior senator from Illinois and former “community organizer” (whatever the heck that is) that few had heard of until he decided to run for not vice-president, but for the top job – president. (Note: Barry’s past and current associations with unrepentant domestic terrorists, William Ayres and Bernadine Dorhn, and activities as “community organizer,” his association with ACORN, his 20-year membership in the notorious Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, as well as any questions regarding wife, Michelle, are “off limits” – we apparently are only to believe what the candidate says without question or investigation.)

(snip) Joe is an average, hard-working single father who should be able to ask a politician a question without fear of a journalistic lynching. Joe is representative of millions of Americans – plumbers, truckers, electricians and waitresses. What did Joe do to deserve this invasion into his private life – from the searches of his tax records, which were made public, to the media outrage that his name is Samuel Joseph, not “Joe”? At least Joe is proud enough to use his middle name.

If I, an American citizen, were to question Barack Obama on his health care policy – that it is not my responsibility as a taxpayer to pay for the health care of anyone other than my family and that his taxpayer-funded universal health care for all is yet another socialist idea to come out of his campaign – would teams of reporters and bloggers crawl out of the sewers to sift through my trash, hound my neighbors and descend upon our court square in an attempt to destroy my family and me, as they have tried to do with Joe? If I were to question Barack Obama about the positive support of Libyan dictator, Muammar al-Qaddafi, Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan and Iranian dictator, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, would my tax records and other personal information – real and fabricated – be used in a effort to muddy the waters, taking attention off the real facts about “that one”?

If I were to tell Barack Obama that I believe I pay enough taxes and that if someone wishes to achieve the American dream – own an home, a business, go to college, it should be by virtue of their own hard work and tenacity, not paid for by government gimme programs financed by my tax dollars, would he or his minions call my first grade teacher?

In the days following the infamous question posed by Joe and watching the candidate’s and the media reaction, it reminded me of stories my mother, who was a child in Austria after the Nazi occupation during World War Two, told me. A question was posed by her grammar school teacher to the students: “who do you hate?” The answer she was looking for was, obviously, Jews. Two little girls raised their hands – my mother and her best friend, both ready with the same answer. The other little girl was called upon and said “Hitler.” The child was never seen again and my mother carried her photo until the day she died.

Do we see a future in which we can no longer question the anointed candidate, no matter how questionable his past, no matter how extreme his views? Look into the lessons of Joe – and watch very closely who is digging into your trash.

Hmmm...

Why not let the community determine how best to educate their children?

Why not let the individual determine what the American dream is, how/where to find, and how to fund it?

Is the state's dream (or a politicians vision of the American dream) the best solution for everyone?

Did the Freddy/Fannie dream work for everyone?  Or, just taxpayers that have to dig deeper?

IIRC, there are a shrinking number of taxpayers to support thos that are retired or do not work.  When are those that REALLY pay taxes going to see some relief?

IIRC, the Obama plan starts to phase out at some point, I've read $40,000.  Is $40,000 the point where one becomes wealthy under the Obama plan?  After taxes and deductions, how much does someone making $40,000 take home?  How many tax breaks do they really get?
