I'm still thinking perhaps the call to JCP was in regards to a "return" as opposed to a purchase ... maybe to see if the credit had been posted to the account ... it may have been something that was ordered for Caylees birthday and she stopped the purchase to have it credited back ... knowing Caylee would not be needing it ... just my thoughts tho ...

Hiya hon! Smile

Rob Dick posted this at his and LP's board regarding Pennys.

Yes there is an item that Casey bought at JC Penny that is incriminating circumstantially, I will get back to that soon......as far as the call, the belief is to check to see about using it before taking it from the residence.

Hey there pink!  hhhuuummm <scratching head>  .... well ... what would she have to call to "activate" before using ...  a new credit card (which would require no purchase) so that's out ... a NEW cell phone???? .....

I think she called to check a balance. To make sure before she went to use it that there was actually funds available to use.

jmo

ooohhh duh!  about using the "card" before taking it from the residence NOT the item she purchased ... UGH

The weirdest thing of all was when Cindy said that someone put a dead body in the car trunk while it was parked on the impound lot.  LOL

First, the car was locked, I am sure, and there was no evidence of anyone breaking into the trunk.

Second, why would someone put a dead body in the trunk, even if they could, when there are easier ways to dispose of one.

Third, impound lots probably have camera surveillance at night.

Fourth, the stain on the carpet of the trunk matches Caylee's dna.

Fifth, Caylee is missing.

Oh, yeah, and if someone put a dead body in the trunk of the car while it was at the impound lot, they also came back and took it out before the car was picked up by George.  LOL  Cindy really should go into stand up comedy.

Does everyone agree that Casey abandoned the car because the smell was getting worse?

I do ... I also thinks she was hoping someone stole it ...

I agree. I also think the reason she left the purse (which was emptied out, she took out anything important) was because the purse was starting to pick up the smell of the car.
Whatever she bought at JCP -
 - was incriminating - Rob says so, AND, Cindy immediately recognized it as something incriminating and that's why she wouldn't turn over the info.

 - was needed for helping with the body dump - I believe this because much of the other evidence points to her dumping the body on the 27th, pings putting her in wooded areas not too long after purchase was made.  Also, if it were just an item of clothing or something, I don't think Cindy would have panicked over that.  Therefore, IMO it was something that could be used to help dump the body.

Hud mentioned camo stuff last night, that is a good guess.... also shovel, and containers.

I agree whatever was bought at Penny's has something to do with getting rid of Caylee. It wasn't clothes.

My guess is luggage of some kind. Something with wheels or a handle to make it easy to carry or drag.

Penny's doesn't sell tools and it doesn't sell those giant rubber maid tubs like you find at Walmart or Target.

The thing that has always got me was Geo saying "the body in the back of my grandaughers car is not my grandaughter, so get your facts straight"  So WHO was it ... and WHY were they in the trunk ... he never DENIED there was indeed a dead body in the trunk!

Alright Monkeys, I know we have gone over this before, but seriously I thought myself to sleep with this last night...

What does JCP have that Target does not?

Reading back I see someone posted maybe an item to replace on from the home, which would be the reason for the call to find availability.

Sorry, I can not let this go as I think its so very crucial to the case.  My hubs thinks I am nuts as I requested to go to JCP this weekend, and he knows I despise malls and their stores.

Maybe Cindy did not have a Target credit card ... on JCP.

I just watched the Today show and Cindy was watching George like a hawk when he spoke.

I also saw George slip is hand over and touch Cindy when she was asked a question.Clear signal as to say"watch it"...

So I lied...

I saw that also. I took it as him reaching out to her not being aware the camera was still wide. I dont condone lying for their daughter but man my heart breaks for them both. Im really going back to lurking now, lol.

yeh the target shopping spree was later, with Amy's checks.  Casey needed something and maybe jcp card was the only available $$

Maybe Cindy did not have a Target credit card ... on JCP.

Cindy was even wearing a suit.  She needs a makeover.  That Moe hairdo is terrible.  Wonder what size bowl her stylist uses?  Sorry, I am being a bit nasty today.

It is ironic how perceptions differ.

Hudson ... on the Today Show this morning I thought George and Cindy ... considering their ages ... looked great.  However ... I cannot figure out George's dark eyebrows.  My hubby's hair and eyebrows changed to grey at the same time.

Now to me, it sounds like it's something she already has at home that came from JCP.  That's where I'm stumped...What on Earth would warrant such a question?  A room monitor?  For some reason I'm thinking of a great big ear.  If only we had access to the JCP print out sheet for that time period.  Then it sounds like it may be completely understandable for any of us to have said item but for KC and what she is facing, it must be more circumstantial evidence.  I'm LOST!!!

I doubt it honestly. I don't think Casey gave Caylee a thought once she was dead.

I don't think the tattoo was in her memory either. I think it was to celebrate what life was going to be now that she was gone.

I doubt it was clothes for Caylee either (replacement or otherwise) otherwise Cindy would have been waving those reciepts all over the police station as proof that Caylee was alive after the 16th because Casey bought her clothes.
