Something seriously missing from Obama ‘o8.  A little perspective and a large dose of reality

Will take more than `The Messiah’ to eclipse mainstreet America

By Judi McLeod  Thursday, October 23, 2008

Chicago residents living in the vicinity of Grant Park will be hearing hammers, drills and saws today as workmen begin construction of the massive stage where Senator Barack Hussein Obama counts on lording it over his masses, as President Elect on Nov. 4, 2008.

(snip)

“Tens of thousands are expected to gather in Grant Park just 13 days from now,” announced cbs2Chicago on Wednesday.  “One way or another, that huge crowd will witness history.”

Interesting how in the 11th hour the mainstream media--which has called the winner of the election before most votes are even tallied--tagged on the word “historic”, historic in the sense that its outcome also could see the election of the first woman vice president.

Taking, what some are saying is a long time to get to his grandmother’s house, Obama was waxing most poetic in Virginia yesterday, telling supporters “I feel the righteous wind at our backs”.

(snip)

With mainstream media falling like proverbial dominos to the Obama rock star charisma and film stars cropping up at all of his events, there is still something seriously missing from Obama ‘o8.  That something missing is a little perspective and a large dose of reality.

In a campaign where truth doesn’t matter and hype rules the day, pinpointing his elusive birth certificate is like trying to keep Dems away from the Kool-Aid fountain.

Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, or whoever’s in that suit seems to be caught up in a hopeless tangle of his own narcissism.

By not releasing his birth certificate to the public, is Obama hiding his father’s nationality.  What if his father’s birth certificate says: father Arab; mother Arab?

Barack and Obama are both Arab names.  The middle name his supporters don’t want used is Hussein, a Muslim name.

There are decent Arabs and Muslims the world over, but any history buff knows that the Arabs originally came to Africa to enslave the native blacks.

What proof exists that the Obama family didn’t originate there?

Throughout the campaign, Obama, with a lot of help from mainstream media friends, has emerged as the `Artful Dodger of Contemporary Times’.  Slick as only Marxists know how, his campaign workers even tried to stick the blame on their opponents for enlisting law enforcement officials in a “frenzied and pathetic” attempt to turn rampant voter fraud into a political football.

The Obama camp has never acknowledged that this method could present an effective way of ‘stealing’ an election.

For all of his bravado and bluster, there is nothing new about the change that Obama promises.  That’s because the change he really advocates is stealth Socialism, a system with a proven track record of broken human lives and failure, worldwide.

(snip)

In the steady back and forth of all things Obama, alibis are being issued on an almost daily basis.

Just as plain folk are registering distaste for Obama’s relationship to Ayers, comes a Statement of Support, signed by some 3,000 educators nationwide in recognition of his status as a University of Illinois distinguished professor of education and senior university scholar.

The educators, who signed the pledge of support, including Ward Churchill, don’t want their colleague “demonized”.

But how can you demonize someone who was a co-founding member of the radical activist group, the Weather Underground, whose extreme tactics to end the Vietnam War included planting bombs in the Pentagon and the United States Capitol?

It’s somehow become de rigueur to overlook anti-Americanism in today’s loud, tilting ever-leftward political arena.

Having made their anti-Americanism so plain, how can Ayers and Churchill feel comfortable cashing their paychecks?

Isn’t their America, The Hated, the land that keeps them in pocket?

Isn’t it a democracy that others fight to keep, that accords them the privilege of dissent?

Obama’s mainstream media-ignored anti-Americanism comes in one of the most chilling, clearly enunciated campaign promises he made back in June when he was still the presumptive Dem nominee for president. (Here).  (Readers are advised to take a screen shot of the video before it “disappears” from the radar screen again.)

“He (Obama) made it before the Iowa caucus to a left-wing pacifist group that seeks to reallocate defense dollars to welfare programs.” (Investor’s Business Daily, June 6, 2008).  “In a 132-word videotaped pledge (still viewable on YouTube), Obama agreed to hollow out the U.S. military by slashing both conventional and nuclear weapons.

“The scope of his planned defense cuts, combined with his angry tone, is breathtaking.  He sounds as if the military is the enemy, not the bad guys it’s fighting.”

It’s 12 days before Election Day--the only poll that truly matters.

The world hasn’t changed.  The only thing that has changed is that the anti-American elitists, some of whom have been slavering over Socialist rule for American ever since the inception of the United Nations, now have a Rock Star cult icon to lead their ever-brewing battle.

It’s been festering in the lib-left Democrat Party for years, pushed along without going too far by useful idiots Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Even if the worst happens and ACORN’s work on voter fraud wins the day, the pluck of Americans--admired by freedom-loving people the world over--will survive the latest puppet of George Soros and Company.

To drive home what they’re up against are the words of average American, Emily, who posted this message last night to abcnews.com: “I’m 60 years old.  The best day of my life is every day.  I’ll still enjoy teaching, watching the sun rise and set and loving my family.  Even though Obama, the Grand Messiah of Marxism may win, my attitude towards life is not going to change.  I won’t leave the country and I’ll savor the good things of each day.”

Welcome to the real America, Senator Obama!
