Doctor Baden....FBI found hair came from Caylee after she was dead...identity of father known but not being released...root indicates she was dead....chloroform has to be farther evaluated, but could be cause of death....

That is what Dr.Baden said... I am gonna go read more and see if I can see where he got that...

Dr. Baden is probably basing this on the DNA released.  I'm sure he can tell much more than the lay person.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Scientists said air samples from the car trunk of Casey Anthony, who is accused of killing her 3-year-old daughter Caylee, contain evidence of body decomposition.

Caylee disappeared in June but has not been found.

Authorities on Friday released a report from a Tennessee lab that found five compounds consistent with body decomposition. Tests found evidence of decomposition on a hair strand found in the trunk, described as "microscopically similar" to one found on Caylee's hair brush.

Caylee Anthony has pleaded not guilty in the death of her daughter.

After reading a few pages of the FBI report I understand why the defense wanted to stop testing.  There are several places they used up the specimen...therefore no further testing is available.  Hmmmmm.  I am seeing things in here that makes me a little nervous. 

If it were not for all the circumstantial evidence I think I might be a little more concerned too Lala's....hopefully I am not being blindly optimistic....I think the circumstantial evidence alone will harm her case greatly...JMO

Good Morning All!

I read last night on another site that Casey took Tony to the airport early on 6/30 for a 10:00am flight. I thought it was that evening. Has the time been confirmed yet? I believe Casey used Tony's vehicle alot while he was gone. I know in Tony's interview with LE, he was to take them to the carwash that she used before she picked him back up. i hope they were able to find evidence.

Also, KCJackie, when you get here, Bless Your Heart, I know you asked at least half a dozen times about the Lexus calls. I tried last night to find some info for you & this is the best I found so far: I found on Topix where there were regular morning calls to (winter park imports dba lexus of orlando) And that GA did work there for a security company. What I don't understand is why if Casey was calling her Dad why she didn't just call his cell? So I'm not sure.

I also saw posted that several of the cell calls that Casey made were to physicians? I had not heard that ever! Does anyone know more about that?? They were checking to see if any of them were ob/gyn's. 

Can't wait for the FBI docs! 

Monken -Thank You for the info!  The calls to Lexus may be nothing.  I just find it odd that she was calling there - even after GA changed jobs.  Maybe if she had a friend in sales - she could have got a loaner car.  Lexus goes out of their way to keep the customer happy - IMO (from personal experience - they will bend over backwards to suck up to you).  She could have been acting interested in buying a car there - so she would be able to drive a loaner to test over a good period of time.  As far as physician calls - I haven't noticed any - except the ones to CA work (physicians office - not ob/gyn though).   Thanks again, Monken!

If they know the identity of the father as Baden says, that implies they have dna from the father.  The only people we know of that have submitted dna are the Anthony's.   More evidence that Lee is the baby daddy ?

IF Lee is the father, I would think that could play into the motive side of the prosecution's case.  Which means it will be discussed at some point.

You know, "hair strand" sounds to me like more than one or two hairs. I suspect the amount of hair in the "strand" could be evidence as well, since a live person would not normally lose hair in clumps.

That all sounds really scary!!!!  But just the fact that the car was cleaned so well and they know it should implicate George, right??????  Ok, I have talked to Des al long time on the phone, she is fine.  I had an email from Mrskub, she is fine.  Dolce is taking a breather for a few days, but she is fine.

I'm trying to anticipate Baez's defense. I can't think of anything he could come up with that would convince me of anything other than Casey was responsible for Caylee's death.

It may not be proof but ... strong circumstantial evidence.

Yes, that is how I am reading it also....in my opinion...this reports tells me this, in short form....

someone was deceased...in the trunk of that car......

George must believe there was a body in the car because he said (paraphrased) "the body in the car is not my granddaughters"!

I wonder if LE can get results from the FBI or the body farm over the phone? If they are not written down or somehow given to them in the form of a report, do they have to give the info to JB?

DNA Results Released
October 24, 2008 - No Responses
Updated at 11:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24: DNA results were released this morning in the Casey Anthony case. It is the latest release of evidence in the case. The information includes a report from the so-called Body Farm at the University of Tennessee as well as reports on other forensic evidence found in Casey’s car trunk and home.

Among the findings:

/ Analysis of air samples from Casey’s trunk indicates decomposition “that could be of human origin” and have “an unusually large concentration of chloroform.” The report, from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, do not indicate animal decomposition. Several of the compounds in the air samples are associated with a type of decomposition found when someone is deprived of oxygen.

/ A hair found on the left side of Casey’s trunk liner “exhibits characteristics of apparent decomposition” and “is microscopically similar” to a hair from a hairbrush belonging to Caylee. DNA tests, however, could not say whether the hair came from Casey Anthony or Caylee Anthony.

/ Parts of Casey’s trunk liner and spare tire cover shows “residues of chloroform.”

/ Other hair found in the trunk did not exhibit decomposition.

/ No hair showing apparent decomposition was found on pants and skirts. Although it appears this part of the report refers to Casey’s clothes, it does not specifically say.

/ Hair found on a shovel did NOT come from either Casey or Caylee, according to a DNA test.
