Are you kidding, December?  I have been at the dentist.

Trial Date Set For Casey Anthony
Pretrial Hearing Slated For Dec. 11

POSTED: 6:37 am EDT October 28, 2008
UPDATED: 12:05 pm EDT October 28, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- An Orange County judge scheduled Casey Anthony for trial in January.

At a hearing on Tuesday morning, Judge Stan Strickland set a trial date for Jan. 5, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. A pretrial

hearing is also slated for Dec. 11 at 9 a.m.

Anthony entered a not guilty plea to the first-degree murder charges.

The arraignment came at a time of other developments in the case.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office wants the state to charge protesters at Anthony's home with battery and trespassing.

The charges stem from an explosive argument in the driveway between protesters and the Anthonys on Sept. 18.

The state attorney's office will decide whether to file charges. The report also stated that deputies do not believe protesters told the truth about the incident.

The Anthonys want to move forward with the charges.

Does anyone here have today's "Florida Today" news paper? I saw an article in the paper, that there was an award ceremony for "Outstanding Citizenship". An award was given to a woman who had saved a small child. In attendance was, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, and......are you ready for this...................................George & Cindy Anthony!

Colt - there was a ceremony for MP the Anthony's attended yesterday but it's not quite how your post sounds.

I read this in passing, while walking through our breakroom. Sorry if I didn't state this clear enough. They were NOT given any awards!

No but I think that Jennifer Kesse's parents may have been awarded something.  If I remember correctly the meeting pertained to a bill that was recently passes about missing adults.

I'll go out and buy the paper, and post the article.

Colt - there was an article online yesterday and we posted it in the forum.  Unless you really want to go buy the paper, don't bother.  I'll find it online again.

COLT - Here's the article:

Anthonys, Kesses In Tallahassee For Missing Children’s Day

Missing Childrens Day

TALLAHASSEE -- The families of missing toddlers, teenagers and adults traveled to the state’s capital Monday for Missing Children’s Day.

It’s a way of raising awareness of the dozens of cases that remain open. Some have gone cold. But others, like the Caylee Anthony case, are making headlines.

Caylee's mother, Casey, is being charged with murder. But, Caylee’s grandparents believe she's still alive, even though they also said investigators are dropping the ball.

"They're not handling it very well, but that's OK,” said Cindy Anthony. “We know Caylee's alive. We know she's out there and we're not giving up. And, there's a lot of people out there that believe that she's alive, a lot of people that have seen her, and we're going to do everything we can to follow up on that."

The Anthonys said they wish a new state law had been in effect when their granddaughter disappeared. The law, named for Jennifer Kesse, requires law enforcement agencies to expedite investigations, especially in the early going.

Kesse's parents, Drew and Joyce Kesse, were honored at the ceremony.

OMG - The Anthony family didn't even report Caylee missing for 31 days!

They are so completely out there, it's laughable.  LE has NOTHING to do with why it took so long for them to look for Caylee. It's Casey's fault and they damn well know it!!
