I'm going to ask my question again:

Now that the DA must release all their discovery to the Defense team -- do you think they will release the identity of the father via their DNA tests?? (I understand ALL info given to the Defense is ALSO public domain)
I am not sure, but I would think we would get only the information in regards to the evidence that pertains to the case and trial.
You are talking about messing with an innocent individuals life here.  I am sure there might be some people out there who look down on him right now.  I think that piece of info would be withheld.
For a more definant answer, I think Rob could answer it correctly as the above is just my opinion.
If Lee is the father, I think it WOULD be released -- if it is someone else (not associated with the case) -- I would doubt it.

Are we absolutely SURE all gathered "Discovery" is public domain?? (I would think it could poison the jury pool)

Would it be considered "discovery" IF the Ant's came clean and fessed up to both sides who the daddy is? ...

My guess is that if the State's Attorney intends to introduce the paternity evidence during the trial that it will be released to BJ JB, however I do not know what will be released under the "fl sunshine laws", I don't know if ALL evidence turned over to the defense comes under such public information status.

In the back of my mind I catch myself wondering about what discovery will be turned over to the State Attorney's office by the defense as anything they intend to bring to the table during trial as evidence, including witness will need to be disclosed.  Wonder how large the Quiji Board will be.

Wreck - I don't know the answer, but I have had the same question.  LE is holding back parts of their evidence like some of the statements.  The judge has also said that LE doesn't have to release the forensics from the dogs to Baez.  I wonder if they will be required to release the DNA paternity or if they will sit on it until the trial.  I have to think that the paternity issue will be used by the prosecution to help their case.  They could possibly use the paternity as a reason why Casey didn't want Caylee.  According to his conversation with A-1, Padilla is indicating that George is not a candidate for paternity.  If it is Lee, I wonder if LE will use that as a reason why Casey didn't want Caylee.  Likewise, if it is Lee, the defense will no doubt use the information to support emotional issues with Casey.  If it's one of Casey's many guys, the paternity issue might not have any bearing at all.  I am still asking why the Anthony's never went after child support.  They are such money grubbers.  My gut tells me that paternity will become an issue in the trial and we might not see the results in a document dump.

Next week, MURT is going to be interviewing someone close to the case.  I've created a thread so that if you have any questions you can post them there.  No, I don't know who this person is

http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=3885.0
If I do not know who the person is how do I know what kind of question to ask?

I was wondering the same thing, Dolce.

Good evening everyone, WOW I know this has probably been discussed already but I have been out of the loop, literally, just turned NG on and hear about the blockbuster movies    and the purchases on JCP card.    OMG she is so freaking busted now, there is no way the defense can explain all this as "nothing". I am so disgusted with this sorry excuse for a mother!

Just imagine that it's someone very close to the case.  Like I said, I don't know who it is yet.  Hopefully Murt can tell us soon who it is.

That Murt sure is an interest tickler.  I have so many questions, but I do not know which one would fit with the "interviewee".
Thank you for the 411 though Klaas..always on the ball!
