There was no petition with 1600 signatures, someone called the State Attorney in FL
and he said no such petition ever reached his office.
Todd is reaching.
I saw that angora  but I want verification from another source~ for I could see someone getting a petition up (not naming anyone)

The map shows her taking Banana River drive to the ramp at Merritt Island.  Would that be a boat ramp?  Do you know the area, Mytime?

I know this area very well. My parents (now deceased), used to live on N Banana River Dr.

Coming from Orlando, you take I95 to the Beach line (528) East. The 2dn  Merritt Island exit is Banana River Dr. About a 1/4 mile south (on the left), is a park and bout ramp. My dad and I used to put or boat in at that ramp.

Yeah, it is Kelly Park.  Sykees Creek - lots of aligators!!!

I've seen lots of aligators at Skyees Creek (off of 520), but never at Kelly Park.

Kelly Park is Sykes Creek!

I respectfully disagree. I used to live in Merritt Island, and did most of my 30 years of boating there.

Kelly Park, leads to the Bannana River.

Kiwanis Island Park AKA Sykes Creek, is a different body of water.

The defense has a chance to depose the witnesses and lock in their testimony.  However, these witnesses have already given their testimony to LE.  They should be consistent.  (let's hope)  If not, the witness loses all credibility.

Right, everywhere though not just Florida. Right?????

Not all states allow defense to depose witnesses.  FL does, obviously.

And, as far as the "Texas Searchers" - it was not our company ... it was not any of the Anthonys ... it was not The Baez Law Firm - it was a petition signed by over 1600 residents of the state of Florida, asking the Attorney General to secure an accounting and monitor how TES uses the funds. Their position, and again, this is the petitioners position - is that if TES is on national television campaigning for donations, all of the money for the specific "Caylee Anthony" search should be precisely accounted for, and any leftover funds that were raised using the name of "Caylee Anthony" should stay in the state of Florida to assist with any future missing children. We were further advised that the petitioners are getting a Federal oversight of the TES "Caylee Anthony" funds, since the money is being raised across state lines on "public" radio and television airwaves.
**************************************************************

Obviously, Todd Black doesn't realize that searching for Caylee has already cost TES $44,000 and they have only received about $14,000 in contributions.  Perhaps these 1600 petitioners would be willing to reimburse TES for the uncovered expenses of $30,000 since this search was for a child in the State of Florida.  I can't help but think that Cindy and George Anthony were behind this petition, if it even exists.

Others will be able to tell you more but I can tell you this.  Murt lives in the Orlando area and got involved with missing persons cases with the Duckett case.  Since he's in the area he's done some searching in this case and has a Webcam and chat he streams every day.  Other than that I don't know alot about Murt:

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/murtwitnessone-live

Gotcha, Thanks
I had seen his pic of the shovel, etc. from previous searches, sounds like a very "pro-active" man Smile

Welcome CharlieGirl - Murt is from Orlando and works on missing persons cases.  Red is the one who took the pictures of the shovel.  Red is the King of the Monkeys here at SM.

O/T - I really hate to admit this...up until 2 weeks ago I thought RED was Klaas' husband go ahead, laugh

Don't mind if I do!

I believe they just said on NG that only certain states allow this and Fl is one, and it's very beneficial to the defense.

I was wrong again... the presser by Mr. (gag) Black does site Texas EquuSearch
Quote
[t was a petition signed by over 1600 residents of the state of Florida, asking the Attorney General to secure an accounting and monitor how TES uses the funds

Grrrr

I know I am being the devil's advocate but ... personally I do not see anything wrong with TES being forced to "secure an accounting" and "be monitored" in regards to how the organization's funds are being used.

Government agencies as well as potential donors to the different outside ministry run by our church are constantly requesting financial information and ... this information is forthcoming upon request.

I say ... TES should produce these documents and ... shut the heck up (bad word) people like Todd Black who question the integrity of the organization.

Am I making sense.
