BOC - Still here? Can you pop over to the Murder & Crime thread and read? Anna & I have been on fire with this since some travel consultant told a bunch of travel people that Aruba had had one murder in 20 years ... and a USAToday travel writer quoted him in a column ...

But we would LOVE your worthy advice on how to get this information to other travel/tourism folks ...

In my opinion this is bull crap! Murders seem to be covered up for tourism sake! Most  murders happen to those from South  America and those dealing in the drug and sex slave trade!

My agencies continue to NOT sell Aruba and we discourage other travel professionals not to!

Remember Aruba used to be in our top ten in sales each year!  The Marriott  and ATA offered me a deal for Aruba and my cost would be $69. I told hem at this point you could not pay me to travel there!

Yeah, I know, but then the guy goes and mails a letter, which costs money, to his brother instead of an email? Sorry, I'm still skeptical on this one.

Who knows what goes through these mentally ill killers minds.  I heard about the "suicide/goodbye" letter to his brother, too.  A letter ISN'T expensive to mail.

I'm sure we'll hear more about this guy in the days to come.

Thanks so much for your in depth interview of Steve Hodel. I've already thumbed through the Black Dahlia Avenger and it is so validating to hear Steve talk about many of the subjects in his book. The case is really like an onion with layer underneath layer underneath layer. Steve and his discoveries are so very vast that to discuss them in depth would take a huge amount of airtime. I recommend his book to everyone interested in this case.

Colorado gunman leaves suicide note

DENVER, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Colorado police say the gunman who killed a Platte Canyon High School student molested all six of the females he held hostage.

According to Park County, Colo. Sheriff Fred Wegener, gunman Duane Morrison, 53, had asked for each of his victims by name, CNN reports.

As a result, Wegener said investigators are looking into reports Morrison may have researched the girls by using the Website MySpace.com and looking at the home pages for students at the high school.

Thursday night investigators recovered a suicide note at the home of a relative who was the registered owner of one of the handguns used by Morrison, the Denver Post reported.

Wegener would not disclose what was in the note but said investigators hoped it might shed some light on the shooter's motive and why he picked Platte Canyon High School.

Authorities are also checking reports that Morrison may have visited the high school prior to the attack.
