I don't go to KS as my son has estranged himself from me, just like my daughter did - but for other reasons.

Their loss, my gain.  My Birthday is on Thanksgiving this year.  Very Happy  My sister lives 20 miles from me, but she's too good to slum with me.  Never invites me for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  Her loss.

But I'm glad I got you, Mama!

Great attitude Sunfreak, I have a sister who is quite the diva, always works best just to live well - best revenge and all that  Wink

Yeah, but I have sooo many to get revenge with, not sure I can live 'That' well.

Sorry none, lost in thought after Michelle reference. Was reading the other day about Harry Nilsson. And recalled the tragic passing of Michelle's singing partner. It was in Harry's London flat. Somebody else passed there too. Geez that Harry had a beautiful set of pipes, three octaves and sweet. Good composer too. But I think it was Fred Neil that wrote one of his best known recorded songs. A movie theme.

Hat I think I posted a link in the Black Dahlia thread regarding a repeated show <20/20 or like> that Michelle discusses in depth the Hodel sister, the sister is also interviewed. Louise Vargas tooks some fascinating photos also, she's quite brave, you should take a look-see.

I agree about Harry, another icon lost.

The board front page says you and I and Klaas are the only ones still logged on. What are either of you thinking about?

I just finished listening to the Dana  "Black Dahlia Avenger " interview with Steve Hodel.  Fascinating!  One of the benefits of hearing it on a podcast is I can search the internet while following the story - Man Ray, Dorothy Hodel, John Huston, Steve Hodel's website, plus Louise's pictures of the house.  I knew the background of the case from watching the 48 Hours Mystery on TV months ago but I preferred hearing the story in the author's own words.  Good work, Dana.  You moved the interview along without breaking the flow.

Don't know if that statement includes me or not, but I work on my website constantly while checking in here during breaks in the action.

The angels are the best at choir.
They Have Callas and Cass and Caruso.

The bravest army lies still in Flanders
and Phillipi and Fredericksburg.

Dread navy of the ages sleeps in the dark ocean sea.
At Actium, Along the broad Atlantic, and all the Aegean.

Poets whisper their sonnets to the clouds.

Kings rule dust.

Saints ascend.

And call to us.

Yes, Yes, I do. I loved Sonny & Cher! Loved their show. They both did well after their divorce.

I was making labels, sorry my response is so late.

.
Just now listening to the Hodel Interview on Dana--was out late and missed it live.  The Podcast is great because we can all hear it later if we miss it the first time.

Cheyenne was great with her interview about her brother.

On the Black Dahlia

Fascinating story.  So many have lead such tragic lives.  Louise sounded great.  ALL THE MONKEYS WHO CALL IN DO!  Don't be shy as every one of you who have called in did a great job.  Monkeys rock!  I think we are a group of very capable and informative people who do have things to contribute in many area.

Back to listening as this is very interesting. . .. . .Oh, and yes, Dana does have a very soothing voice!  I really like to listen to him and he is very kind to all callers.  If you feel too shy to call in, remember he will help you along if you need it.  Everyone feels shy calling but just do it anyway.  I always do when I can.

If you don't know all about the subject, ask a question.  Keeps the show moving.  So far all who have called sound just terrific but that is not necessary to call.  Callers are not expected to sound professional.  Hope CrazyBabyBorg will get back up to speed and call some, too.

Just my thoughts while listening along.
