RENDELL’S STORY

Governor Ed Rendell (D-PA) tells you a short story to make his point.

He asks you:

If you were in the middle of a river, drowning, would you care about the color of a person on the shore offering to toss you a rope?

Well, Gov. Rendell, the answer is clearly:

NO, I would not care the color of that person.

My question to you, Governor:

CAN YOU ASSURE HE’S NOT TOSSING ME A TRILLION($$) TON WEIGHT, IN THE GUISE OF A LIFE PRESERVER?

If the person was offering, what was the offer?

Was the rope wasted away and incapable of pulling me to shore or saving my life?

Would you care how old the person was?  Would you care about their political party?
