That's cool!  Too bad we couldn't have had our free Taco Bell taco on the same day!

I guess the joke's on me because I don't get it!  I do love Ben and Jerry's though.  Is this a real promo I wonder, or a joke?

I think...they probably have excess inventory and will deduct the cost of these scoops and some kind of gift, donation, etc.

I think the Obama generation will have to try and find a way to give it back...

A's it's not a joke at all, if you know anything about the founders (Ben & Jerry) it doesn't surprise me - it's more of an encouragement to get out and vote and of course, it's a really good marketing idea. Aligns B&J with all things american at a time when higher priced items like their ice cream, aren't selling as well.

Here is the link at their website with the details. http://www.benjerry.com/features/i_voted/

What I resented was Caesu trying to manipulate this into a socialist tag - Obama is clearly an advocate of socialism and so is his wife who's hiding out this week, so that her anger against the whites doesn't rear it's ugly head again.

Here is the ad for starbucks but then of course you actually have to watch the SNL appearance of McCain - which I gave him high marks for - he has a sense of humor although I think Cindy needs some training from the Let's Make a Deal girls.

Starbucks is offering a free cup of brewed coffee to voters on election day!

Starbucks are almost as common as McDonalds...

I am sure that will come in handy for those voting more than once...

A quick cuppa will ensure that they have the strenght to continue voting Chicago style...

early and often

Sorry, I couldn't resist...I may hit Starbucks after I vote (just once).

Smart you WhiskeyGirl, I didn't even think of ACORN's devotees getting their free cuppa's over and over - I did however wonder how Starbucks would do this without proof of voting? In our state you get a sticker "I Voted". I always leave mine on all day long, this year since I'll be traveling I had to do an absentee ballot and I miss my sticker !

In California we also receive an "I Voted" sticker, maybe all states do something like that?  I agree None about McCain's SNL appearance.  He was actually more relaxed and affable than I remember seeing before, and also has good comic timing!

I voted early in Texas and got my "I Voted sticker".

Nonesuche ~  The website says you just tell them you voted to get a 12 oz. coffee.
