i think bleachedblack wanted the 5am and 5:30am slots, as per post #47, but has been put in at 5pm and 5:30pm.  i have the 5am slot and don't mind trading if it works better for beachedblack.

For those asking how it works.  In the past, we take our timeslot and pray during that time, wherever we are.  Some may be busy at work, or somewhere, when it's not conducive, so it is nice to pick a time, where it is quiet and you can concentrate.    But as Tater mentioned, it's true, "Pray without ceasing", so you can pray ANY time!  We don't typically post our prayers, but I personally don't see anything wrong with that, is somebody chooses to do so.  Klaas has mentioned some share time slots as well, so feel free to pray whenever, of course, even outside of your slot.   

Choosing slots is just to ensure we cover a 24 hr period of time of an unbroken chain of prayers, where 'somebody' and/or more people are praying.

It's nice to know we will probably have multiple people praying throughout the 24 hrs. and beyond.  This just gives us an opportunity to feel  and share a part of something very special and know we are contributing, if not in person.

For anyone that may be interested ....

People "pray" or "meditate", send "healing/positive energy" in different ways ... there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do it as long as your intentions are for good ...

Some people "meditate/pray" with focal tools to help quiet the mind first to keep the focus on the "subject" (topic or person) as opposed to your mind wandering off into other thoughts.

I do personal photo mandalas for such purposes ... I have been contemplating on doing one for Caylee, but it never seemed like the "right time".  With this prayer day coming up, I feel it is now the right time.  Some people find it "easier" to look at a mandala then to look at a photo as sometimes looking at a photo can be painful emotionally.

I chose this picture of her, because of it looks like a recent picture, and mostly because she has her "baby" with her, which I believe was a great source of comfort to her according to media reports. 



If you choose to use this mandala for prayer day (or anyday) ... just simply print it out, hold it, and stare at the center of it ... your eyes will start to wander outward, that's normal ... just bring them slowly back to the center ... try not to blink ....when your eyes get heavy and you can no longer stare at the center ... close them ..... (you will still see the center of the mandala in your minds eye) ... you can say aloud or silently things such as ... Today Caylee will be found, .... Today I see the searchers safe and well ... whatever you choose to say ... just be sure to keep the energy positive ...

You can pray to God, Jesus, the Universe, Spirit ... whatever your personal belief system is while using this mandala ... it is NOT to "take the place of" ... just simply giving you a focal tool to first quiet your mind for a deeper, more effective "prayer" time.
