Frankly, I think Beth is beautiful.  Her behavior and her demeanor are admirable.  I do not see any inconsistencies considering the circumstances under which she is living.  She is a strong, beautiful, capable woman who deserves all of our admiration and support.

AMEN!  I certainly hope she is under a doctor's care and if she is on any medication, which is neither here nor there and not anybody's business but hers, I hope it helps.  I'd be in a corner having a nervous breakdown.  She's still out there kicking butt and taking names.  I like it!

Remember Deepak's comment to Joran in the police car:  "Your own father!"  I think he was expressing disgust that Paulus would participate in the rape of Natalee and then tell his son to dispose of her permanently because she could identify him.  We've all said all along that Joran was protecting someone--that would be Paulus.

I agree with you regarding Deepak's comment.  As bad of a person as Deepak is he sounded disgusted about Paulus when he made that comment.  We always talk about how sick of an individual Joran is when actually Paulus is just as sick.

I think she is too!! Inside and out! I only know if I had been through what she (and Dave/rest of family and close friends) has been through in the past 13 months......I would be in a padded room, somewhere, with peeps in white coats serving me a meal now and then. I am not considered a weak person, by any of my friends, but I sure am human.

I agree with that.  That is what I have always made of that comment.  "your own father, unbelievable."  Deepak might be bad but he cannot believe a "father," particularly one in position of law enforcement, would behave in such a manner.  "I do what my family tells me..." Joran's comment in that same conversation.  Yes, he is protecting his father.

I also remember Deepak when he told all about Nat' in his words being a slut.....acted like one, dressed like one, etc. We all heard that in the tape from Doc Phil, even IF that tape was messed with......that part was always the same. I still feel Deepak is not a total innocent in all this mess. People do not usually drag a victim down unless they are guilty of something or at least know something 'bad happened'.

There hasn't been an opportunity for follow-up, but I'd really like to ask Jossy about the possibility of the enrtrance/exit security footage at the casino. The guy next to Nat, that looks like Paulus, had to come in and out, and I'd like to know what time that was, and mostly see a better image of him. That should nail it down as to whether that's Paulus or not. They have the footage of Nat and Joran, so why not this "Paulus look alike"?

CBB,  I am surprised we got any footage since Posner would own that  tape and I don't think we can count on his goodwill to produce one frame more of it.  Remember he was listed by ABC news as a friend of the vdSloot family until they quickly pulled that description.

I gotta wonder which party asked that it be pulled, too.  The mobster or the murder suspects??  But unless somebody is brave enough to further risk his wrath, I doubt we see much more from there and you knonw all the tape from that day is going to have been taped over, destoryed or the camera "broken" as they all seem to be on Fecalruba.

Ditto the ATM machine cameras--weren't they reportedly not working as well that night?  With friends in the right places, it is difficult to get much of anything.

"Your own father!  UNBELIEVABLE!" and it is that unbelievable part that has to mean Paulus is involved.  That would not apply to his giving them adivce like no body/no case and it would not apply to his getting an attorney for the Kelpoes so what else could it apply to other than his involvement with the actual crime?  What else would qualify for such disbelief?  Perhaps the Kelpoes did in fact just drop Joran and Natalee off at the vdSloot residence and it is Paulus who is the accomplice and not the K2>yet another possible scenario.

How's this for creative?  Joran swims out to the deep ocean, Tarzan-like in his BVD's, and hauls the body behind him, cutting effortlessly through the waves like an Olympic champ.  He deftly avoids sharks and other sea creatures attracted by the body he drags behind him.  Nearly halfway to the coastline of Argentina, he judges the currents and winds and drops the body, properly weighted, so it sinks hundreds of feet to the ocean floor.  Smoothly, he turns and heads back towards the distant shoreline, his long, smooth strokes rhythmically slicing through the warm Caribbean waves.  The half moon shines a weak light on his glistening head and white arms as they move through the water, visible to the watcher hiding in the bushes.  Nothing disturbs the silence as he approaches the beach, wades onto the sand and shakes the salty drops from his body.  He strides to his car, opens the door and grabbing his clothing, towels his glistening torso with his discarded plaid shirt.  The job accomplished, Joran slides behind the driver's seat and slowly guides the car onto the road, heading for home.

ROTFL!  You forgot the part where he throws open the back seat car door, pops open his always handy keg of Heineken's for a swift chug-a-lug, right before he slides behind the driver's seat!

What kind of weight would someone be carrying in their car?  A tire iron would not necessarily hold down a 110 pound body for very long, especially after the body started producing gases during the decomposing and putrefaction. Maybe he swam her out to the reef and wedged the weight into the coral to keep her underwater,  Didn't they say when he got back to the car he made a cell phone call? Called who?  Koen to get the boat to the boat ramp or Pappy Sloot to call Pappy G to borrow the boat.  Either way, they could go back to the reef retrieve the body and take her further out and drop her over the shelf of the ocian floor with heavier weights from the boat. Anchors? Sandbags? Weights from a barbell set?

Also wanted to point out that if they were to find her remains and he had strangled her, there would most likely be damage to the hyoid bone. If he snapped her neck, there would be cervical vertebral fractures.

You know, it would make sense from the perp's point of view to float her body out far enough to then take out a boat, use an anchor or weights from the boat to weight her down and then let her fall to the ocean floor.  There would then be no evidence in the boat of a body having been there.
