I have been checking out Beth's looks since the beginning.  She is a beautiful woman but she HAS been through hell and I'm sure she is on some type of meds, perhaps anti depressants or tranquilizers.  I'm gonna analyze her hair and makeup.

I hope no one will be offended by what I'm saying. From the first moment I saw her on TV over a year ago, I noticed her makeup and hair. I'm sure the winds that blow through Aruba play havoc with women's hair. (Julia is an excellent example - her long hair looks fried - maybe from the heat and wind.) Is it humid in Aruba or dry? At first Beth did not have a haircut that "worked" with the Aruban weather. Her hair is very thin and later she got a better cut. Also, the color of her hair is a little bit off for her skin tone. Women often tend to try to keep the same look the had when they were younger and in their prime - same color and same cut. As we age, the skin tone changes and we are still wearing what was appropriate for us 10-20 years ago.

However, the first thing that jumped out at me re makeup was the under eye concealer / camouflage she wore and still wears. It is too light, almost white and does not match her skin tone. Women her age and my age and older, usually think the lighter the concealer is, the better it will hide the shadows under the eyes. Not true. It only makes you look like an owl. I finally found Prescriptives cosmetics and they educated me (at 60) and gave me a concealer that matches my skin tone AND covers the shadows. They said it is a very common mistake that women make.

But, the bottom line is that Beth is Beth. She is still lovely but could be even better looking if she changed several things that are easy to change. On the other hand, I'm sure she is struggling to carry on and probably is not very much concerned about the things I mentioned. She puts herself together the way she's always done and that is how she presents herself.

Please do not be mad at me for writing the above. I just happen to be a real nitpicker about appearances. I love Beth.
