Okay, well, I've strewn enough kibbles and bits around for everyone to chew on.  One little personal thing--I'm going to Vegas this weekend and have tickets to Love, the new Beatles/Cirque de Soleil show at Mirage.  Ask me if I'm excited!!   Laughing

Oh, have fun.  I know you will.  Make a trip by Chico's while you are there.  Think of all of us who would love to be so fortunate.

Oh, you know I will.  I was there last month, and trying on clothes in back, when one of the saleswomen came up to me and said, "Haven't you been here before?  I think I waited on you..."  I laughed and said yes, I was there a few months ago and she had waited on me.  I must have been memorable.   Laughing

The link above is to the Beatles' and Cirque du Soleil show, Love.  You can see videoclips from the show, so I thought I'd share.  It looks fantastic.

Here is a blast from the past and I have just dated myself. Yes, I did grow up watching Saturday morning cartoons and watching School House Rocks

Schoolhouse rock Shot Heard Round The World

for a bit of nostalgia ... go take a look.

Wow, the last time saw that, it was like 1980, and I and was probably in the middle of watching Spider Man and His Amazing Friends or Thundarr or something.

They are timeless .

School House Rocks Wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schoolhouse_Rock!

the shorts were broadcast on ABC television affiliates between 1973 and 1986. They were then broadcast on occasion throughout the 1990s and part of the 2000s.

Of course I think I was watching them more toward those early 70's dates, lol.

Well, then that explains it.  I'm simply an old, old lady.  I was rockin' out to the Beatles while you were Schoolhouse Rockin'.  I'm just not sure how I feel about that right now.  I'll get back to you. Laughing

Could you see it...?

We could see it when I lived in New Port Richey.....a definite bright light....all the neighbors (most of whom were retired service) waved their flags.....it was always a proud moment...!

Exciting and frightening at the same time.

Have fun today, Terry, on the Fourth.  Hugs to you.  I will not have anymore English lessons for my great storyteller friend.  I love your stories.  That old school marm attitude sneaks out sometimes.

Well, it's time for someone to mix up the peaches and cream, and I suppose that is my project for the three freezers.  Someone is making some really good smelling chicken on my barb, and I am getting very hungry.

See you guys in the funny papers.

Beautiful card Jacqueline, thanks.

Hope your trip to Atlanta is safe.  Just don't look out the window. Take a Valium and a nap.

I'm way back...but I think CP is driving... Shocked

Hi Mere, we are driving, DH is going and he is driving, that is why I will take a Xanax.  He is coming back on Friday and I am staying until Monday and flying back.  I just am a nervous driver (and rider) especially around BT's mountain.  It's just such a hassle traveling with so many animals at home and I am over protective.  The cats are OK with a neighbor, but one of my dogs is old and is going to family, but Nemo never gets invited anywhere as he is such a live wire.

What is it about getting old? Why do I feel like I never have enough time?
I am always busy, doing things, ... usually things I feel like I have to do. usually I enjoy these things I am doing.  For example, I am enjoying sitting here writing to you my scared monkey friends. but I am knowing, at the same time, that I really don't have the time to spare to sit here and write about time. There are always so many more things I want to do than I have time to do before I am so exhausted that I have no choice but to sleep. I hate that.  sheesh, I cannot imagine being bored!  and, this whole "age" thing.  I keep freaking out about 20-year-olds out here pulling 70-hour work weeks and 28-year-olds who are CEOs of companies worth millions of dollars... I think I'm so old!  Why do we attach value to the age of person? is a person's age always indicative of the quantity of experience a person has had?  I dunno. but I do tend to think it is close to impossible to write or talk about things without having experienced them, at least a little. when I see people younger than me complaining about being unhappy, I want to scream:  you ain't seen nothing yet!  and I know that I haven't really seen nothin' yet either.  or maybe not.
perhaps time will tell.  I think we still all have the inner voice inside us that we had when we were kids..
