LOL.... I knew what you meant Sleuth. And my guys working down there are a good bunch of guys!
I will say that after feeding them for the past four months I am looking forward to a break, I pretty much have my helpers set up to carry on while I am gone.... we prepared three days of meals to be frozen yesterday and it kicked my butt.
When the lady started to tell me about the cooking acoommodations where we will be staying, I asked her where the nearest restaraunts are LOL  

By the way...the dome roof is almost completed!

Good news to hear, Cubbee.  Glad you have this opportunity for the world series.  We did that once in our lives.  We lost, but the trip was fun and a great experience for young men (their mom's and dad's).

Thank you Tyler, this will be our second trip .We went once when my son was nine and now this most likely will be our last trip.We almost cancelled as our team was down to 8 due to kids moving, injuries and other personal reasons, but since we had this trip planned decided to pick up a few more decent players and go play ball!!!!!!!!

We are taking the food and munchies and going to visit daughters family and see the new baby.

I am wondering if due to the fact that J does so much gambling at the various casinos, my guess is he gets offers for free rooms. We don't go to casinos all the time, but we do go often enough to occasionally get 1 or 2 nights at various casinos. If Joran gets same, he gets a hotel room and it cost him no money.

  Spent some nights at the Beau Rivage secondary to going to the coast and gambling.  Not that many, but the more you go and gamble, the more rooms...etc.  It's like flier freebies.

Beau is re-opening in August!

Suddenly, I feel myself sinking into a dark place and something outward calls to me.  Hazes of thought rise from within and my jumbled mind resembles a morning spent along Perdido River.

The smell of fresh perked coffee woke me that morning and a smiling face pressed lips against mine.  It was fun!  It was a weekend get-away!  Not a care in the world.  There was nothing out of the ordinary.  Just a weekend spent exploring the surroundings and each other.

A kiss, a walk and a look changed that weekend into something that I will never understand.

The cabin on the lake creaked with the wind and seemed to talk with each breeze, but it was a morose sound, a longing sound crying out from the river down below and the pines slowly dancing back and forth seemed to whisper Louise…..  

  "Every little breeze seems to whisper Louise ~ " But you went suddenly from Old River to a lake real fast...?

Mishy, I have Paint Shop Pro that came with an animation program.  I can do some simple things, but would love to be able to do more.  One of these days......

If my memory   serves me correctly, Red was in Aruba for the searching of the well on the property right across the street where the monkey lives.  Thought there were photos of his helping with that but it has been a very long time for me to remember well.  Odd the neighbors didn't mind the search but Paulus did.  Supposedly there is an old well on the Sloot property but it would only be a small opening like less than ten inches diameter and easily covered or plugged.  Drilled by modern drilling equipment instead of hand dug maybe.  That would mean a small core of earth removed for access to ground water.

The cess pool as best we were ever able to determine from Granny Toad's persistenct is that there can be more than one and located just about any where on property.  There were some odd metal looking boxes near the front fence that we cannot see for the trees but some thought that was where they might be.  These are dug pretty deeply then a layer of lipids put on the top to seal them off so there is no odor.  There is a top over them for adding lipids I guess and access and it would have to be sturdy enough to prevent somebody from falling through.  But it is the lipid seal on the top that makes it possible to have them very near the house and even one for each bathroom, kitchen.  Supposedly this is a very effective way of dealing with liquid waste but as I said, has to be relatively deep.  Similar to a septic tank but only would work well in very porous sandy soil so as to constantly empty from the bottom deep into the earth.

I do not know if there is sewer service along that street now or not but I tend to doubt it.  I think the cesspools are still in use but the well is not.

I'm way back...but I think CP is driving...

Hi Mere, we are driving, DH is going and he is driving, that is why I will take a Xanax.  He is coming back on Friday and I am staying until Monday and flying back.  I just am a nervous driver (and rider) especially around BT's mountain.  It's just such a hassle traveling with so many animals at home and I am over protective.  The cats are OK with a neighbor, but one of my dogs is old and is going to family, but Nemo never gets invited anywhere as he is such a live wire.

Hope you have a really good trip.....I getting used to those mountains....

I don't know Buckeye but that was the date the three suspects were arrested and taken in for questioning.  Very odd since they were supposedly under constant police surveillance or so we were told.

- Is there anyone who recognizes the combination of the striking gray Honda Civic with the four persons mentioned above?
- Is there anyone who saw Natalee and/or the three boys in the night of Sunday May 29 to Monday May 30, 2005, near California Lighthouse, Arashi Beach, en route to Joran's home in the Montanja district or on the beach near the Fisherman’s Huts, or anyone who was there but did not see anybody at all?
- Is there anyone who knows or recognizes the unidentified man who was seen that Saturday May 21 on the beach near the Fisherman’s Huts with the help of the identikit and the description given above?
- Is there anyone who recognizes himself/herself as one of the witnesses the police are looking for, or is there anyone who knows one of these witnesses?
