ORANJESTAD - in the first trimester of 2006 less tourists came to Aruba than in 2005, by means of the airport 14.7 percent. This state in the bulletin over April, that recently published the central bank of Aruba (CBA).

CBA do not have recent figures which show the spending amount of tourists. The last figures which Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) published, date of January 2006. From those figures became clear that tourists in January 2006 spent 15.8 percent less than in 2005. ATA had, when CBA published its bulletin over April, the figures of arriving tourists and the number of overnachtingen over February, March and April 2006 not yet available.

Aruba raised it's Departure tax to help defray losses!!!

Goodnight, Dear Friend.  I hope you feel much better.  If that earache persists, get something done about it.  It can lead to hearing loss and I fear that is coming too quickly for most of us.  Sleep well.  Use those brown organic filters in your Mr. Coffee and make several pots of cheap coffee, which you pour on your flower beds before you make a pot of good coffee.  You have to "season" it like those old iron frying pans.

I go to therapy tomorrow and Friday.  My hand is still numb and I cannot use it much.  I know it takes time but I am becoming disappointed.  My therapist keeps telling me we'll get there just give it time.  This coming Thursday it will be nine weeks since the operation.  Don't get me wrong there is improvement but not as fast as I would like it to be.

San, I don't want to discourage you further, but to give you hope.  When I lost my vision, I went into the hospital and got a boat load of prednisone.  I had so much prednisone, I was in ICU with the crash cart.  I got 1000 mg three times per day or every 8 hours.  At the end of fiive days, I had no more sight than I did when I went in and the doctor told me that nerves heal so slowly even with ocular movements I would do with therapists and the prednisone and it was six months before I had enough vision in that eye to call it vision, but it was worth all that I went through, even the 60 pounds I gained on months of prednisone and later beta interferon.
