Explanation on the picture --

The picture had been 'cropped' when it originally hit the internet. Freddy had been cropped out.

Simian (Merrian Ernest) had made the comment about the 'hand' -- he wanted us to know there must have been a fourth in the picture.

The 'uncropped' picture surfaced -- and you can see it is Freddy.

See -- nothing that mysterious. Except that Simian wanted to make sure we knew that Freddy was in the original picture. Why??

Sharon's right.  As far as I recall when we first got the picture, only the arm was in the picture but no face to Freddy.  Later the face appeared to us and we knew it to be Freddy, another criminal member of the PIMPS who was not to be left out of this mystery as it appeared he was the photographer, the sleep-over friend and possibly the tennis partner on Monday afternoon.  Freddy was arrested but never charged.  Paulus has been paying his attorney since the beginning although no mention of Freddy or his involvement for two months, but Paulus was arrested, it is stated by some, secondary to Anita having Freddy over and interrogating him about what polis asked him.  Now if they really want to get to he bottom of this they should ask SandraK because she knows more than anybody and if you do not believe me, ask SandraK and she will tell you she does.

That picture and the van recording go hand in hand, IMO. Within seconds of Jk2 being together, Freddy's name is brought up as relevent to their situation. Just like in the picture, he was cut out of the arrests, but when you look at the whole picture, he's there.

It was stated that Joran was afraid of someone.  I am going to say that Joran was afraid of Freddy and would never mess with him.  What is in Freddy's background to make Joran so fearful of him.

Freddy's family had some influence, right? I'm sorry to be so muddled. I've been battling double pneumonia and think it's settled in my brain.

We aren't sure about Freddy's family.  What we know is that Freddy and his brother Ernesto appear in the Sasha birthday party family photos.  Sasha's birthday party appeared to be elaborate by Aruban standards.

Klaas,,,,,,,,,,,right. I remember now. Geez, you are awesome as usual. I hadn't remembered the "family" alibi because I always considered it to be the family circle joining hands to protect him. So, it makes sense that Melody's version is true. The question that remains is where Freddy and Joran hooked up, since we know that Freddy wasn't in Deepak's car with Satish, Joran, Deepak, and Natalee.
So there's the possibility that Freddy followed Deepak's car, and there's the possibility that Freddy was at Joran's setting up camera equipment for filming and waiting for J2K to come back with Natalee. Right?

This is where I think he was.  Let's not forget that Freddy lived right near Joran.  Joran stated on Greta that he called a friend to go out that evening but he said his friend couldn't because he had to work.  I believe the friend he called was Freddy and it was to let him know the game plan and to get ready.

Well, thanks to the answers I've so patently been given, I finally have an opinion beyond them leaving Carlos and Charlie's that rings true. I think that Freddy was either at Joran's when JK2 left, ot got there shortly after they left, and was waiting to film Natalee when they returned. I believe that's what they attempted to do, and maybe accomplished.
