SEARCH UPDATE

Greetings - I'm just back from my first day of searching (8 hours), and lots to tell.

Approx. 2,000 searchers showed up this morning.
300 Team Leads
TONS of Media (which we were not allowed to talk to)
I saw Yuri walking around with a crutch, but didn't speak to him.
We also were not allowed to take photos

I ran into 1 person this morning from WS but she was already assigned to another group, so I ended up with a group of searchers from another forum - Justice4Caylee.forum.net. They were a really nice group of gals. We had a total of 10 people in our group, plus a CSI person. Our group was dispatched to Blanchard Park, and our search was productive in that we had to involve CSI and OSCO. News helicopters flew over us at Blanchard the whole time we were there, and several camera crews and reporters were filming us from a distance while we searched. Once back at the command post, we signed out and left.

My husband is a team lead (he's still out there), and his group search was productive as well which required the need to involve CSI & OSCO.

When I got back to the Command Center, I was speaking with a CSI who said there was a search team at the Boggy Creek location that came across something of interest. (same area where the witnesses say they saw KC's car on the side of the road, with her coming out with a shovel). Although I can't say what they found, I can say that it would be something that would potentially give reason to NOT have to continue the search. CSI processed the scene, called in OSCO and a cadaver dog, and took the item of interest" away. We may hear something in the news on this find within the next few weeks.

That's pretty much all I can say for now. I am confident that by the end of the weekend (if not already), she will be found.

I hope so too, but am afraid to get my hopes up too high. However, I have been expecting to have my faith in miracles restored this weekend........

I just want to thank all the monkeys who are contributing by holding everyone else up in prayer, sending thoughts of strength and support, lighting candles, etc.  All of this is just as important as being there in person or contributing financially.

Murt has assigned several monkeys as mods over there so it's not as bad as it was this morning. But still a lot to handle. I would just ban everyone and only let monkeys in, so I probably wouldn't be a good one to choose!!

There is a way but MURT really only wants to ban the obvious for sure trolls.  I'd be banning the subtle sneaky ones too, LOL.

I remember standing on that God forsaken clump of sand that was my beloved Aruba and watched Dave Holloway dig through the stinking fly infested germ inladen trash dump looking for his baby girl and I cried enough tears to fill up the damn ocean

 

Yes ... Dave Holloway search that landfill under the scorching Aruban sun for his daughter's remains and yet ... to this day he hopes against hope that his daughter is alive.

I believe if Casey was not the Anthonys' daughter ... the response to the disappearance of their grandaughter following the 911 calls by Cindy would have been similar to Beth and Dave.  Without a body and ... conclusive evidence that Caylee had been inside the trunk of Casey's vehicle ... George and Cindy would be clinging to the hope that their grandaughter was alive but ... would also be embracing the reality that she was not and ... would also be focusing their efforts in that direction.

I guess when comparing ... it must be remembered that Beth and Dave were not attempting to shield Joran van der Sloot from the consequences of his actions.  They did not have the double heartbreak that possibly a member of their family would be implicated.
