Sorry, way O/T - but PANDA ALERT! The cub is alone and moving around a bit. Remember that her eyes are still closed and she isn't walking yet.

I called, but I guess I wasn't talking loud enuf. I had just come to from being in a turkey coma. I wished Dana a Happy Thanksgiving.
he asked why Canadian / American Thansgiving were on different dates and I had the answer handy.
Canadian TG is based on a ceremony in 1578 that was held by Martin Frobisher giving thanks for making the journey and surviving .
The American one is based on the pilgrim one.

Kat_Gram - you did great but your phone was cutting in and out.

Panda cub is back in mama's arms now. If you tuned in right then - that was the most action I've seen there so far. (But it will get better every day, especially when the cub starts walking.)

Again, apologize for being off topic.

Sunfreak did not seem at all nervous or concerned, etc. so we are getting more used to the idea all along.

I was terrified.  I had to take some deep breaths before I called to work up the nerve.  Then I considered hanging up before he answered.  LOL.  I was soooooooo nervous that I was stammering & stuttering & talking loudly.  But Dana has such a easy, smooth & reassuring voice.  He is easy to talk too.  I wonder if his arrestees find him easy to talk to too?    Laughing   Cool

GREAT SHOW, DANA!

Klaas you have a great phone voice!  Is there anything you can't do?  Wink

We did our Turkey Day yesterday because everyone was available.
Cooked two turkeys, a ham, sausgae, potatoes, carrots, corn, etc. pumpkin pies, brownies, buns, all the homemade fixings. Today. I was exhausted fromm 2 days of kitchen work, but happy. And I have leftovers. It was a beauty of a day, did the cooking outside, everyone happy. Hot Tub, trampoline ( not me ) kids, special drinks, lots of talking, eating, more eating, lots of laffs. Dance music. Kids did the chicken dance to Opa's ( grandpa' accordian ) Music. A new baby ! !

Right mouse click on the cam and click on stop, then take a screen capture.  Then to start it up again, right mouse click and click on play.

It was a great day.  ! !
Our family had a bad run for a while, maybe things will normalize ! !
I love to cook. They love to eat ! We are a good match ! !
Yes, some times, we ( me ) think in the negative. About what could have been, etc. We all have a lot to be thankful for. Alhtough, some days, it is not easy to come up with what we do have, not what we don't.

Kat - Everyone is like that though.  A very good friend told me:

IF YOU WANT WHAT YOU HAVE, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE WHAT YOU WANT.
