You do have a very good point.  All I can say is that maybe LP isn't thinking of that? Maybe he doesn't seem to think that will be an issue? No idea on that one...

Before we moved here and lived in a big city, I always told my daugter's dad, you have to "out think" think`meaning, think like a criminal and you will stay ahead of the game, for instance.......GPS on cars, phones, spies etc. Oh, I've used them all because she certainy did try to test me, I had to learn to think like she woud and be suspicous of everything~thank God where we live now, there is only a tiny population and 1/2 of that is at MY freaking house every night...I'm just sayin

I'm certainly not saying what he's doing is right, nor am I at all suggesting that anybody should be lying about their military record.  I'm saying I have zero idea why this isn't a big deal to LP.  He didn't say why it wasn't..  the fact he is ok with using the man as a diver, is certainly getting him publicity, right? Maybe there's your answer?

Didn't Tim say that Tes scanned it twice - One by TES and one by him personally?

I understood that diver or divers went down first then Tim personally scanned it.

Thought he said divers for three hours then he scanned for about that long or four hours.

When Miller was bringing the boat out of the water is when he says LP approached him with the money making scheme.

There isn't any reason for anybody to stop searching for Caylee.. bottom line. I think if LP's going to search, it should be where the evidence leads him.

At this point, five months in,  I don't think she is findable. The terrain, the number of square feet in the probable area, the 31 days head start and Hurricane Fay.
Perhaps she was right here when some of the " amateur " searchers did their thing.

Des - My concern is that any and all searches are thorough.   IMO - I feel like it is not what LP is doing but how he is doing it.

the cast of players become more and more bizarre!!!  So this guy lied to LP and LP took the flack for it.... .

I believe that Leonard Padilla was misled and lied to regarding the certification of the owner of the diving establishment who volunteered divers to search the Econ River in an attempt to locate Caylee Anthony's remains.

I have never requested confirmation of the certification of the trades and professions that have performed services on my behalf.  I assumed that all that teachers who were entrusted to educate my children had not authenic certifications.  Hubby and I assumed that the certification all the trades we hired in the building of our home were not falsified.  We assumed the certification of the company we recently hired to clean our furnace and vents was in order.

The reaction to this happening involving the Leonard Padilla search should equate to the reaction if Tim Miller had used the services of Todd Bosinski of Blackwater Divers.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Scientists who conducted forensic tests in the Casey Anthony investigation concluded that human decomposition and evidence of chloroform were present in the trunk of Casey's car, according to the report released Friday.

on someone involved in the case against Casey Anthony. Todd Bosinski was the lead scuba diver who worked with bounty hunter Leonard Padilla to try to find Caylee's body.

Eyewitness News found out Bosinski was recently asked to resign from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, because he had lied to his captain when he said he was a Special Forces medic in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Worse yet for Bosinski, who is the owner of Blackwater Divers, the sheriff's captain he lied to in February 2008 is an Army colonel who apparently sensed right away that Bosinski was full of it.

Blackwater Divers led the search last week in the Little Econ River. Bosinski gave Eyewitness News a hard time when we asked to see the bag of what he said were bones that he had pulled from the river that he said could be Caylee Anthony's bones. Sheriff's and FBI investigators had already dismissed them as nothing more than rocks from the river bed.

Bosinski gave the impression he had credibility as an investigator by telling California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla that he was a former Orange County deputy. But Eyewitness News has learned he's a former deputy because, while he was still a trainee, he lied to his captain, Ralph Groover.

Capt. Groover's memo obtained by Eyewitness News (read memo) says Bosinski lied on February 18, 2008, that he had served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Special Forces medic with the 4th Special Forces group. Nine days later, Capt. Groover asked Bosinski to confirm that, but Groover's memo says, at that point, Bosinski said it was all "bulls***" and that none of it was true.

Bosinski resigned a half hour later.

Bosinski told Eyewitness News over the phone Tuesday that the memo is false and that he quit the sheriff's office because you had to be in the right clique to get ahead. He would not talk on camera.

OOOHHH! And might I ADD!  HOw is Tim supposed to concentrate on a real search and feeding thousands of people at the same time??? How can he do his job?????   I personally have not heard of ANY success from Mark Klaas's org.  I'm not condemning him for what he's doing with his org., but DO NOT act like he's knows about Tim's!!!! 

Ok, off my rant now. 

TES should NOT have to feed the volunteers....people were told to bring a sack lunch....however in other areas and on searches that I have been on...the people of the community come together and make sure there is plenty of food and water etc for the volunteers....what in the hell is wrong with people...why in the hell  weren't the church groups out there...the restaurants should be donating food, grocery stores...the whole thing just pisses me off to no end....people from all over this great country were buying food long distance and having it delivered....why in the hell do I, in MO, need to feed the volunteers in Orlando?? Sorry if I sound bitter...but I am....I never seen such a lack of community in my life......

IIRC...I offered to TES...way in advance, ir food/water etc was needed...just let me know....I was told...that Tes had that all covered.....

What a shock at the last minute/Friday afternoon of second search...not from TES...but associate of TES....help we need everything....I know that this was posted on several TES supporting sites....including, and in the forefront SM....that massive amounts of food ere sent to the search....many places/food I called said that they were wiped out.....so to read the TES official report of part of the reason they left was no food....well...it left me flabergasted to say the least...I do my homework....food and water imoo was not an issue....not bashing TES...but I do not agree with the TES report of lack of food to not be correct....Des

Des, you did a great job!  I think in some of our experience, nobody HAD to call, the community just jumped in to help.  Besides, TES wasn't sure of the turnout, and possibly wanted to keep people happy by providing food.  They just can't be asked themselves to cover the expense, or the time to get it.  It's people like you and others who took care of them, though you shouldn't have had to.  People 'should' have brought there own...

From an amatuer searchers point of view- I couldnt agree more!!  I still pray that she is found - stumbled upon by a hunter, developer, etc.  My fear is she is the land fill though.

I can understand anyone wanting to search, but with that being said, you have to consider how the defense*cough* will try and exploit amything found and the proper chain of custody and a diver possibly trying to get back at LE (possible-no nanner throwing), once on trial if they can taint the evidence and she walks, unless it's a mistrial..DONE-double jeopardy. That is why a good LE is so methodical in their efforts, I coud think of so many ways to eavesdrop in the A's house, but if a judge says no, well it can't be used at trial. Think William Ayers," Guilty as hell and free as a bird, I love this country"

Defense attorneys would have a field day out of that and the evidence would never make it to court.

These are great points.  I appreciate what LP is doing, more than anybody else at the moment. BUT we certainly DON"T want to give the defense an advantage.   I just think LP needs to a little more careful and think everything through before going forward.  The last thing we need is giving Casey an advantage in court!
