NEW YORK - A new Burger King promotion has the blogosphere all abuzz.

According to sogoodblog.com , the fast-food giant has sent BK agents out on the streets of Chicago and Orlando to "lose" wallets.

When unsuspecting folks find the wallets, they're greeted by a red sticker explaining the promotion, as well as a small amount of U.S. legal tender ($1 or $5) and a restaurant gift card.

Also in the wallet, according to sogoodblog.com, is a driver's license belonging to BK's current pitchman, "The King." Remember the guy with the crown who starred in those NFL commercials a few years back, sacking a quarterback and returning an interception for a touchdown? That's the guy.

And if you look closely , you'll notice among his vital statistics: "HGT: TALL" and "DOB: TMI."

WHO'S SAYING WHAT?

Here's a sampling of what they're saying about this promotion on sogoodblog.com :

    * AJ Swoboda says, "Fascinating. That's one way to get people into your doors."

    * Josh Santangelo says, "McDonald's did the same thing a couple years ago."

    * disneyland guide says, "Amazing marketing initiative. Way more effective than just commercials."

    * ntopics says, "It's hard to believe that they even gave away some 100 bills in those wallets."

    * Razore says, "With a little investment they have managed to get stories on the Digg homepage and several people blogging about it."

    * Cary says, "pretty good idea. still won't make me go to burger king, though."
