I love that scene and always wondered how in the world she was so thin!

Me either, but fortunately my parents eventually got the idea!

Very sad and touching story...she suffered from health issues from a very young age..had anorexia thru the 50's and lost her only daughter to SIDS..finally, she died of cancer..

She was such a beautiful and talented woman..a shining star in the world of dancing.. more if you're interested

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0893584/bio

I thought she had the most wonderful dancing figure and I thought she wore high necks because she was so slender.  That is so sad...I am so sorry she suffered alone.

This is the Christmas my nephew was supposed to be in Iraq with the other Marines.

He lived with me for a while when he was a toddler...his mother is deceased (killed trying to step in front of her brother who was being threatened and got a knife through her heart) and my brother is his father.

He left the marines after his time was up.  At least 3 times while he was in the service, he was supposed to go to Iraq, but God spared him.  He decided to stay in California (where he was stationed) after his time was up.  (I am on the East Coast) and I have not seen him in a couple of years and miss him dreadfully.

I received an early Christmas present tonight, and it will be the best one ever.  He is home for the holidays from now until January.

God is soooo good!

This is For You Bearly, Your Nephew and your Family for Thanksgiving and Christmas Time & Always .........

Thank you for your response.  No need to apologize, it's all good.

His brother was taken from us 3 years ago at the age of 20 in a work-related accident.  This family has had their share of heartache and pain.

Christmas is a time for miracles..and I'd like to share one with you..

Years ago my sister had a seizure..complete heart failure from doing drugs (crystal)
I got my niece, who was 2 at the time, and took off for the hospital.. when I got there, my parents met me in the ICU ward (I think that's what it was called)..needless to say, they were in tears.
I gave my niece to my mum and went into the into the room to see my sister..

While I was in there, seeing her lying on the table with all kinds of stuff hooked up to her...I leaned over her and looked closely at her face...at this moment a feeling came over me, one I had felt many times before..it can only be one spirit, there is no other like him. I felt completely calm and left the room. I approached my parents and the doctor, who had just finished telling them that my sister had a 1% chance of living and even if she did..she would be brain dead.

I picked up my niece and told them.."your wrong she just needs to sleep" and left the hospital completely calm. A couple of days later she woke up from here sleep
as normal as she was before this happened except she needed a pacemaker.. I can live with that..and so does she. Within a week, she was ready to leave the hospital.

There is nobody on the face of this planet who can tell me that miracles don't happen or that there is no God watching over us every moment..that's only one, I can tell you about many... to this day, my mum still asks me how I knew..I just tell her, someday you will know..
