I know " Why We Sing" the song by Heart. If I could find the Live Version which I have - It would blow your mind away. Every time I hear it .... I am in TEARS ..hello. Nothing can keep me from Crying its so powerful. If I can find it and share it with you - I will.

You know just not too long ago - My Daughter was in Middle School and was in Choir.
She has a beautiful voice. She wanted to be in Choir. She was in many after school programs for choir. Her last year of Choir however had a SNAG so to say.

She had two years in a row participated in a Christmas Program. Hmmph. Her last year of Middle School for the Christmas Program - NO Christian inspired Christmas Songs were allowed within the Program. Not even songs that mentioned Santa or Rudolph.  The Opening song in 2nd wk of December was Monster Mash ... O yes. I am not kidding.
Because of the mixed Religions within her School the omitted Christmas songs from the Christmas Program -because Christmas Songs would Offend SOME. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Where do we Live? Do we Live in some one elses Country? NO. Where is it written that WE as the USA are to BEND OVER ..? and lose OUR Rights of our traditions and Beliefs ? for the sake of Others being bothered.

That is why I have on the bottom of my Picture - I CAN say Christmas

Best and simplest recipe for turkey, goose, or other foul - the old fashioned way.

Season as to your liking and baste with old fashioned red wine--not the fancy new one.  Nice dark and red, the way grandpa used to make it.  May have to look at some ethnic wines...

The cook would take one large wineglass at a time and pour slowly over the bird.  Baste with juices every 15 minutes or so.  No gravy liquid, but the red wine juices are the best.  When juices are low, pour over another wineglass of red wine.

White wine doesn't work...it hasn't the same soul.  Look at ethnic stores for something called "dago red" - just like grandpa made in the old days.  Full bodied and not the least bit fancy.
