Many high-quality ice chests have spigots at the bottom, which are helpful for emptying out the water when the ice in them has melted, and for using the entire ice chest as a drinks dispenser.

Unless she thoroughly washed the corpse with hazmat-style decontamination procedures, shutting the corpse in just such an ice chest would have locked it in with all the oxygen and bacteria needed to speed up decomposition, and a leaky spigot would have allowed a little of the decomp out of the ice chest and onto the floor of the trunk.

Evening Monkeys, I have been reading the IM between Casey and NYItaliano guy. I'm sorry, they are just disgusting. I am having a hard time getting through it all.

Honey this is what you do - you go to a vet that has care over bills - and get that PUP pumped up with saline. For fluids and demand Meds for what ever is. I had a kitten that I adopted and the day I brought him home - he never meowed nor moved. Went on the next day. I called the shelter that I had adopted him from and they said - NOT our problem. I took him to the vet and they saline packed him -under his skin. He was under a lb. He looked like a tiny gray blimp.
He never ate and I swear to god I thought I was going to lose him. I took him back again the the same VET and the VET said in a Irate voice -
Where have you taken this Kitten to for CARE prior!  I screamed back at her like a bloody freak - HERE and He has only been here - YOUR partner ! You do know her don't you?
They again PUMPED him with Saline and gave him a liquid diet that I had to feed him with a syringe.  I said Enough is Enough. I called my Friend Banana * yes that is her real nickname Banana and she worked for Humane Society for years and I told her what was. She met me in the parking lot with a med for Canines - antibiotic. I had spent over 700.00 on my baby with no change of health at the vet and I ran out of money. Way even before the 700.00

I cannot comprehend Casey driving her vehicle around for 2 1/2 weeks with the odor of a decomposing body present.

Police officers, morgue attendants, morticians, crime-scene cleanup agencies, and coroners have used peppermint oil (usually in the form of a lip balm) which they spread around their nostrils to prevent the smell of dead bodies from unduly affecting their ability to deal with their environment.  A powerful fragrance such as peppermint oil may have been used by Casey to prevent the smell of decomposition from affecting her ability to drive, and peppermint lip balm is cheap enough that it wouldn't need an expensive traceable store receipt.

Of course, all the drug use could have affected her sense of smell to some extent, possibly enough that she wouldn't be able to smell anything during those 2-1/2 weeks the body was in the car.

Another point I'd like to add...the Anthony's initially settled in on the last date they saw Caylee was June 9.  Let's take an informal poll...if someone asked you about an event that happened 30 days ago...would you give them a date (as in the 9th of the Month) or would you tie that event to another known event (Father's Day)?....I personally couldn't give the date - but I could remember that something happened on, for instance, a holiday..a fews days after a holiday, etc.  What do you all think?

What I find interesting is both Cindy and Casey said June 9th ... you would think at least one of them would have known the CORRECT date (and I believe Casey did, but her mother told her to go with the 9th, forgetting about the Fathers Day video ...

This shows me they were in "cahoots" w/a plan since right after the 911 calls were made and time before the cops got there and took Casey to the police station for questioning ...

Its interesting that BEFORE the cops got there ... Casey tells Lee (after Cindy leaves the room on July 15th) that she hasn't seen Caylee for 31 days ... well that is pretty specific to me ...

But if you count back from July 15th ... 31 days is June 15th!  Yet when Casey's butt is hauled into the police station she tells the officers that she dropped Caylee off w/the nanny on June 9th ...  (which was a whole week before) and the same date Cindy said she last saw Caylee ..

Casey knew exactally the last time she saw Caylee ... and George is lying about the 16th!  IMO

Excellent catch Invision...Casey knew specifically 31 days...she was counting!  But I think in the Ants household Cindy's word rules. Was CinCin mistaken -or was something more sinister happening?  Did she not expect LE would get that nursing home video?  In any event...they sychronized their watches, so to speak, while waiting for LE...such a short time to get their story straight.

OK, I have a little rant. You know what really pisses me off? That the Ant's are such users and backbiters. First they want LE on 7/15, then they hate LE, they want the FBI, but now they say they aren't helping, they like LP, then they hate him and tolerate Tim Miller, then they hate Tim, but they like Nejame, now Cindy is making her little remarks about him. Everyone that comes into contact with these people get bit.

They continue to perpetuate the myth that Caylee is alive, and saying they will believe when they have proof. But nothing will ever be good enough. LE has shown them the proof, but they refuse to believe. They say science isn't proof.

They have had all these organizations and people helping them, but now, when it LE says enough is enough they are having a fit. Don't you think there are other missing people in Florida that need these resources? They don't care, they want LE at their beck and call, following up on fake leads to try to get their precious daughter off the hook. To hell with other missing children, as long as KC gets acquitted.

They have little self respect, and certainly could care less about others, they make me ill. And now another show for Cindy and George at tomorrows vigil, just stay home already everybody has had more then enough.

I'd never thought about that, Good point!  I'm sure she used something if Caylee was in the car for any length of time.

Casey feels unjustified and thrown against the wall - yet has no grief, no respect for Caylee as a being let alone her child that she gave birth too.

If Casey had the decomposing odor on her clothes for several days, I doubt if the odor would have washed out.  After a time, that smell is virtually impossible to remove from clothing.

Casey, unlike most men, is a woman.  Women can wear the most pungent perfumes and generally get away with it.

As for getting body waste and protein-based odors out of clothing, the Anthonys had pet dogs.  The Pet Stain & Odor Removal Industry is a million dollar industry, but mostly because they have some of the most powerful stain and odor removers on the planet, most of which are based on using enzymes to eat away the odor-causing problems.  Pet owners have this stuff around their houses (trust me on this ).

That is a sweet story. Sorry you spent all that money for nothing. My Joe is well known at his vet's clinic. They have to get him out of my car because if I do it he bites me in the butt.

I really do question that birth certificate.  Like other monkeys I checked out my children's b/c's, and on all of them there is tons more info.  Such as the address where their dad and I lived, our names (including my maiden name), and our signatures underneath.  They also have the time each was born, how much each weighed, their length, and if it was a single or multiple birth.  Also includes the name of the hospital, the doctor's name and address, along with the doc's signature underneath. 

Lots missing from Caylee's so-called b/c, IMO.  Makes me wonder why!
