Who says she doesn't have money? I don't think she would tell anyone if she has a secret bank account. I'm sure she was stashing some of it away for her disappearing act. Plus going to the club, the cell phone bills, the gas in her car, she had to pay for that some of the time. She wasn't getting paid huge money, but some just the same IMO. I think she did it for the thrill, living life on the edge, being the center of attention.

I didn't think about that boo. She did tell Baez she had thousands of dollars, I don't really remember the amount.

I really do question that birth certificate.  Like other monkeys I checked out my children's b/c's, and on all of them there is tons more info.  Such as the address where their dad and I lived, our names (including my maiden name), and our signatures underneath.  They also have the time each was born, how much each weighed, their length, and if it was a single or multiple birth.  Also includes the name of the hospital, the doctor's name and address, along with the doc's signature underneath. 

Lots missing from Caylee's so-called b/c, IMO.  Makes me wonder why!   

That's the birth certificate you get from the courthouse.

My son recently needed a birth certificate and due to a recent move I had no idea where his was, so he went down to the courthouse, showed his photo ID paid his ten bucks and got a replacement. Which is similar to the one of Caylee's.

It doesn't have the time or his size/weight. Just his name, my name, his dad's name, place/city of birth and date of birth.

It doesn't list the time he was born, his size or length, his dr's name like his original certificate did.

basically it is proof of his birth?

I agree with you. My DD original birth cert has everything on it - all her stats and mine

that cert they post as Caylee's is a acknowledgment of her Birth - not her actual BC

It's a Certified replacement. They keep the basic info on computer and they can just laser print it and certify it.

Back in the day, they kept all of the originals on microfilm and would have to skim to find it to make a copy for a replacement.

Personally I think had a more serious "addiction" been going on w/Casey ... we would have heard something about it ... She would have been taken to detox or rehab instead of county jail .. To have an addiction to the extent of "shooting up" would require rehab and a detox w/a supliment such as methadone or suboxone as not to have serious withdrawl complications.  IMO

If it was just the weed there would have been no serious withdrawal complications, and weed is still expensive enough to warrant getting all the extra money you can find.  There are a number of other drugs (LSD among them) which have no serious withdrawal complications (even for regular users) while still being quite expensive.  And despite prison official claims to the contrary, prisons are still great places to score some drugs (minus the obvious problem of having to do them inside a prison...).

Not to be argumentative but you don't "shoot up" weed ... and I agree, prison is a well known place to score all kinds of drugs, however given that Casey is not in general pop and has no visitors outside of Baez on a semi regular basis I would find that hard to believe ...

There are not too many mainstream drugs that are used to "shoot up" w/today's young adults that are not opiate based, a form methamphetimine or crack cocaine all of which would indeed need proper detox ... if used to the extent of "shooting up" or snorting ..

It even has a box for each of my parents Professions - My Dad's career title at that time is on my Birth Cert.

I was born in 66 and have the same original birth certificate. But, I when I got my passport I didn't have the original. So I ordered a new one from the county and that one looks just like Caylee's in the docs

It may not be the norm, but I have a distant relative that used coccaine/heroin heavily.  She has been in jail before and never been to detox.  I'm sure it just depends on the person.

Wow. She was pregnant before? Cindy was let down? Crazy? Was Cindy let down because she wanted Casey to be a baby factory to keep the family "together"? I am so confused!

I think Shirley simply meant she was devastated that Casey was pregnant at all, back when she was denying being pregnant with Caylee. Shirley's generation didn't welcome out-of-wedlock pregnancies, nor did grandparents expect to raise their grandchildren back then. For a 19-year-old to show up unmarried and pregnant could certainly be devastating, a sign of complete failure and breakdown of morals and discipline in a family, a think to be ashamed of.

Shirley would have been 19 around the late 1930s, early 1940s.  It wasn't publicly reported or talked about, but about 18% of new births at that time were out-of-wedlock births (as compared with 53% nowadays).  The Comstock Laws kept birth control out of the hands of private unmarried individuals until the U.S. Supreme Court decision Eisenstadt vs. Baird (1972), meaning that not having sex (including "avoiding rape") was about the only way to avoid having an out-of-wedlock birth in the 1930s and 1940s.

Adoption in the early 20th Century made things even weirder.  Secrecy wasn't just to protect whatever reputation the birth mother had left, it was to protect the adoptive parents from relatives of the birth mother coming to steal back the adopted child.

If Shirley had been pregnant and unmarried in the late 1930s or early 1940s, she would have ended up in a home for Fallen Women and would have had a very hard time of things.  Casey getting to prance around with a baby, flaunting it, but still getting to go clubbing and not be treated as Damaged Goods by the men she hung out with, would not only have been hard on Shirley's sense of propriety, she might have felt a little annoyed that she couldn't have had the same privilege.

Also for those that are familiar with cadaver searches when they stated that the dogs hit on the right trunk/taillight area did they mean outside of the car on the bumper/fender area as well as inside the trunk area or just inside the trunk?

I had a question about the stain also ... Does anyone know ... If Caylee's body had been put in the spare tire compartment and the carpet had been placed over top of her ... could decomp fluids have been absorbed up into the carpet, and even thru that thin board like stuff .. thus leaving a small stain?

If the spare tire has been removed on multiple occasions, the thin wood has become cracked (at least, it has on mine), allowing multiple tiny pathways for the fluids to seep upwards.

Chances are a really big stain would come from the decomposing body (or its leaking container) being placed inside the trunk proper, and not inside the spare tire compartment.

That's what I was thinking ... It struck me odd that George would mention that the wheel chock thingy was in the spare tire compartment ... plus the mention that Casey recently had two flat tires ...
