See, I have always wondered if one of them had a storage unit - you would never find the baby there.

Just popped in and read the last page.  Sorry, if this has already been posted.  But, I remember hearing/reading that LEE was involved with storage units.  I understood that maybe he owned them or he was a manager of them.  I just don't know more than that...but maybe someone else recalls, as this was early into the investigation that I heard this.

If anyone thinks that Cindy is a grieving grandmother, I strongly suggest reviewing Cindy's interview with the FBI.  It's all about protecting Casey.

The whole lousy family is infected with the same disorder. Sociopaths, the whole lot of them.

That's what totally blows me away, I have a hard time thinking an entire family can be sociopaths. I just figured at least one person is somewhat normal, I have never seen this in any family I have come across in my 53 years. And believe me, I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, and there were some odd and crazy people, but this is something else.

I don't think Cindy is a sociopath exactly. I think she feels shame and guilt very intensely, perhaps too intensely. She is the only one in the family who doesn't look great right now, you know? The only one showing any real signs of stress.

I think the problem for Cindy, is that she is a Borderline Personality, very vulnerable, surrounded by demanding, indifferent sociopathic people who have made a lifestyle out of leeching off her, abusing her, and treating her like crap.

I'm sure if there was a suicide attempt in the family before, it was Cindy. IMO she's terrified of being alone, and so she puts up with George cheating on her, spending all her money, and not supporting or contributing. She puts up with Casey's irresponsible behavior, and puts up with a fair amount of verbal abuse from everyone close to her. She's the only one who hasn't made an attempt to walk away from the family--she's afraid that without them her life will have no meaning. She is capable of empathy--she even showed empathy for a protester one day, showing concern for the stranger's blood pressure.

She's got narcissistic tendencies but IMO she's the only one in the family capable of feeling guilt, shame, or remorse about this, and also the one who feels responsible for the others. That's why she's so controlling--she can't trust any of them to act in a loving or concerned manner or to think past the moment at all. JMO.

I cannot comprehend Casey driving her vehicle around for 2 1/2 weeks with the odor of a decomposing body present.

Police officers, morgue attendants, morticians, crime-scene cleanup agencies, and coroners have used peppermint oil (usually in the form of a lip balm) which they spread around their nostrils to prevent the smell of dead bodies from unduly affecting their ability to deal with their environment.  A powerful fragrance such as peppermint oil may have been used by Casey to prevent the smell of decomposition from affecting her ability to drive, and peppermint lip balm is cheap enough that it wouldn't need an expensive traceable store receipt.

Of course, all the drug use could have affected her sense of smell to some extent, possibly enough that she wouldn't be able to smell anything during those 2-1/2 weeks the body was in the car.

But the ones you mention above, do not drive around or stay around a body for over 2 weeks!!! NOTHING could eliminate that odor from their nose, if they were in contact with a 2 weeks old dead body! It would have overwhelmed her... she would have had to throw up, pass out... or she would have pushed the car off into a lake or river.  Sorry.... but a body that had been dead that long would have been mush... and the odor would have been...........unbearable.
LE also uses Vick's Vaporub... they dab it under their nose to help mask the odor... but it sometimes doesn't mask it completely, depending on how long the body has been dead.
I am not convinced that Caylee's body was in that car longer than 2-2-1/2 days.

Two things just occurred to me about that. One, that the longer you're around a smell the more you get used to it. Your nose will adjust and stop smelling certain things after about 45 minutes. That's the first thing. The second thing is that a container might have made it so the body didn't smell for several days, not until the gas popped the lid or forced fluid out the spigot or seams or whatever.

But I'm thinking probably the body was moved into and out of the car. CA said contemptuously that the cadaver dogs that hit on the car "were the same ones that cleared our house," as if they OUGHT to have hit on the house if they were any good.

One, your nose is not going to "adjust" to the smell of a decomposing body... one that continues to decompose, making the odor stronger every day. We've had animals to die around our property, and had to track down the smell so we could burn or bury them... it's that bad... and that is out in the open air! In a closed space, like a car...... a small RAT would stink it up pretty quick.
Two, a container of some sort might contain the odor for a time, yes... but not for that long.... no way. Even if the body was wrapped in a plastic bag and then put into a container... it is going to smell pretty bad after several days. I'm told that smell eventually permeates everything... especially plastic. Bodies have been discovered in apartments, when the person in another apartment calls the police because of the smell coming from it. That odor is coming through several walls! Bodies have been discovered in old refrigerators and other appliances that were supposedly sealed. Remember the tow yard manager moved the car behind the fence on the back part of the lot because of the odor... and the body was no longer there!
I don't know why she didn't just drive/push the car off into a river... get rid of it then claimed the car was stolen with Caylee in it. She might have even got away with it.

Fuzzball, I somehow dont think anyone can adjust to the smell of rotting flesh. I have smelled it and man-o-man..a perfumed mask on my face didnt do the trick either..

I've been wondering why Casey didn't stink, if she rode around in the car. But she didn't-remember she had Amy's car while Amy was out of town, and she had Tony's while he was out of town. She picked Cindy's car to stink up. I think if she'd stowed Caylee in Amy's totaled car it would reek, too. I'm sure LE has already looked into that.

I'm wondering where else she might have been storing the body, besides the trunk of that car.

Does anyone know how KC got involved with this "new" crowd?  How did she meet Amy?  What do we know about "little one", the girl she had many calls and text messages with?  Is "little one" the girl KC was bumping and grinding with at the hot body contest at Fusian?...I guess where I'm going is...could she have met some of these new people working as an escort?

I know Tony and Casey were communicating on line for months before they actually dated, that is how she got involved with the new crowd. Amy she knew for awhile, and then Amy went to work for a cruise ship I think for six months, and then they became closer friends. I don't know about Little One.

I haven't read all the documents. How do we know Amy was happy he got rid of the key? Was this something Lee said or Amy?

If I were Amy, I would have pressed charges against Cindy for stealing my money.  And I would have told Lee that it pretty presumptuous of him to destroy my key.

NO where have I ever read that Lee destroyed the key. I think sometimes folks read into some of the things said in here and run with it. If you must read back again. He said he had taken care of it. He took it off  Casey's key ring so it did not go to LE along with Casey's car.

Some one here told you it came from the September document release. They even gave a page number.I assume we can all read for ourselves. JMHO

The 10 key issue is extremely interesting to me.  I also don't understand how someone can refuse an interview with LE.   I can see demanding to have a lawyer present, but refusing an interview??

I just remember pieces. His gf left him so he killed her and put her body in some storage drums and left them in the backyard. I think he shot her, but I cannot for the life of me remember when but I do remember it was big news.
