A shovel can be used much like a machete as a cutting tool as well as a digging one.  Some have fairly sharp edges.  They can also be swung like a bat for hitting as well as decapitation, etc.  Was not this person untested in household items that could be used to kill?

A weapon as well as a tool for digging.

That was my thought also because the search prior to the shovel search was a search for household weapons.

Now, to reply to many poster's theories about the so-called shovel, I feel that maybe Casey needed to get a bigger shovel in order to pick up all the bullshit that has been spewed by her and her family!  JMO of course!

If the search was for an actual shovel...I think it's to replace the one she used to bury Caylee.. I wonder if the searches included pic's and if one of those pic's matches the shovel Red put on here a while back..

O/T - the avatar you tried to upload actually belongs to another poster (already taken).  I was going to fix it for you until I discovered it belonged to someone that has been posting here for 3 1/2 years.  The group of Xmas avatars CBB posted are actually ones already taken.  Don't feel bad, a couple of other new monkeys have made the same mistake.  Why don't you find another original normal avatar and CBB, Brandi or I will dress you up for Xmas.

Here's my thoughts for what its worth:

I think KC was into the escort business, that would explain a few things. 

She often wore work clothes - call girls morph into whatever role is necessary to disguise whats really going on.  If she was meeting business men during the day for an "appointment" she would need to look like she was there for a meeting to blow the cover. 

This might also explain why KC still had $ in her pocket to party.  Granted she is a thief, but the amounts she was stealing were for a specific purpose (phone bills, shopping, etc).  To lead her lifestyle she needs some sort of constant income.  Her thievery is an illness and selfishness, I really wonder if she had an income and was socking her $ away while stealing. 

The self defense and household weapons searches - she would need to know how to "protect herself" if a client turned ugly on her.  Neck breaking and missing children, well unfortunately that was research for what she did in June 

The connection to the hotel guy - cant think of his name.  I am puzzled by this connection, except to speculate he was involved in the escort business - either as a client or a backer.  At 22 KC isnt exactly into networking, so how would she get close enough to him to ask for help?  Its not like he is her BFF's dad or anything.

The connection to JB, same situation as the hotel guy.  With both of them I thought about when I was 22 and being a party girl.  Knowing an attorney and being able to secure one on my own at that age, well thats just not someone's number that any of us at 22 kept on hand. 

As for the escort searches, I remember one was in California - she told that Marine dude she was coming to see him.  I think that was her escape route, she needed an income out there.

Man I wish we would have known this earlier so we could have combed the escort sites and Craigs list to see if she had any adds up - no doubt in my mind she did!

I also see a similarity in KC and CA - they both want to appear more important than they are.  CA keeps saying GA was a homicide detective, well by his own admission he was a deputy sherrif.  No disrespect intended to our LE friends, just saying she made him higher on the todum pole than he was.  Homicide detective is an impressive job!  KC told everyone she was an event planner - thats an impressive job too, especially at 22.

Good Morning old and new Monkeys... HH thanks for clarifying the pic is Casey, Sea Searcher you and I and I think a couple other monkeys didn't think it was Casey. Not surprised I was wrong on that. Now my question is, Casey told Tony she had I think 15,000 dollars saved, I tend to believe that is true because I'm sure posing for pics like that, you don't do it for free. Someone brought up the fact that Casey was never in gen pop at the jail, so how did an inmate tell her about Baez? I have so many questions swirling in my mind about the pics, Baez, timeframe of the pics. Who ever did the makeup on Casey for that pic, certainly did a good job, almost like a glamour pic, I wonder if he is available to give me a makeover.

Even having the pic confirmed to be KC, I still can't connect it to this trial. Many individuals in the p**n industry have children. I don't see how that can be connected to the death of a child.. the reason seems to be elswhere... proof that she's done p**n pic's..isn't proof that she killed Caylee...I'm really lost on that...seems like just some tabloid news

Please don't flame me...I do think she's guilty and should be locked up for life, I just see Baez getting the pic's thrown out as a non-issue

I don't think it is a non-issue. Other people in the porn business probably can account for who is watching their children when they are working. If this is true where was Caylee and who was watching her???
