EquuSearch Calls In Sheriff's Dive Team While Searching For Man
Monday, December 1, 2008 – updated: 5:50 pm EST December 1, 2008

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. -- The sheriff's dive team has been called in to help with the search for a Merritt Island man who has been missing for more than a week. They were called after the private group EquuSearch spent the day searching the Indian River just south of Porcher Road on Merritt Island (see map).

The EquuSearch team was back and forth on the waterway all day Monday. The spot they are searching the waters has really been churned up, especially with Sunday's storms.

After scanning up and down the Indian River Lagoon, an EquuSearch dive team, along with Fish and Wildlife staff started focusing on the area just south of Porcher Road. Using sonar equipment, they found an object submerged in the murky water, so they called in for more help.

"This is the first time we've gotten an image that's possibly what we are looking for," said Tim Miller, EquuSearch.

What they are looking for are more clues into the disappearance of Shawn Waters, who vanished just days before his 32nd birthday. Investigators believe the father of three went fishing in the area. His truck and his flat-backed canoe were found, but there hasn't been any sign of him.

Crews are looking for the man in this part of the Indian River Lagoon, because it's not far from where his boat was found and it's possible the currents could have dragged him to the location just south of Porcher Road.

"It's really muddy down there. It's hard for the diver to see. He's feeling around with his hands," Miller said.

One of Waters' friends has been searching on his own.

"Oh yeah, I've been everywhere. I got out of the kayak and hiked around a bit, searching everywhere," Pete Sims told Eyewitness News.

All of those volunteering their time want to answer the questions: Where is Shawn Waters and what happened to him?

Still thinking about the stuff someone was searching for on the A's computer/s, on google etc.  And one of the things we were wondering about was "shovel", and how weird it is to search for that. 

Did ya know that there was a band called 'Shovel', with Universal Records?  They've since dis-banded, but maybe someone was looking that up?  And maybe this former band got together briefly for that event, the band wars, or whatever it was.  Just a thought, and a guess.

Battle of the Bands is an event normally put on by the local radio stations..usually local rock radio stations in conjunction with other venues.  Its a way to promote the town, night life, and restaraunts as you usually travel from one stage to the next within a 5-10 black radius within the city.  Its a great way to drum up business for store fronts and bars too....it has to be the right type of crowd though...down here it is not done but rather fancy art shows are done for the same effect.  I recall many of these events from my life spent in Gainesville, FL as it was very popular among the college crowd and my brother with his band has played in a few. 
ALL of the promotions and set up was handled by the radio station personnell and those they hired on.  (ROCK 104) 

However, given that this email is a faker....I believe the idea of keys and band battles to not be relevant unless shown within a statement from LE as being true.

Wasn't the "keys" being questioned b/c of a text message Amy sent to Casey stating she had 10 keys made .. not this email ... maybe I am on brain overload or something ...

Personally, I couldn't remember ever reading about 10 keys but I did read someone post about them.  So, I went back and read texts forever (it seemed) until I found it on page 50.  Now, from the context surrounding this text I don't see anything to reference as to what the keys are nor what they fit.  So I'm still not sure about all the jumps we made late last night...at the time it seemed logical to me...LOL

That really is just our assumption. The chloroform could have been for sedating Caylee, the shovel could have been looking up a band, a movie, or a slang term for male slut that she encountered in conversation and didn't know enough about. The "neck breaking" could also have been looking up something said in conversation--Casey's friends have sweatshirts that say they're "neck breakers," and the term refers to someone who has such impressive clothes or moves or qualities that people's necks break spinning around to look at them. It can ALL be explained away. So we better hope the forensic evidence is a lot more impressive than what we've seen so far, or that Annie Downing or Lee or George or someone, has said something ironclad.

Or that LP or someone actually finds Caylee.

I remember seeing KC with haircolor growing off her hair like in the porn pic but so far jackie has found one from 2006 Halloween where she is kind of auburn haired wearing a maids dress. I think the porn shot is real because KC has a sort of peak in her hairline to her leftside a little ways of mid center. The makeup was done by a pro in the porn pic I don't know if that was supplied by photographer or if she just has glamour shots that day but if you look close in porn shot you can even seewhere the r eyebrow was worked on above the inside corner. I paid big bucks for my daughter to go to a master stylist to learn how to do makeup for my grandchild's solo performances so it is just IMOO

I'm still on the fence .. but I don't think her cheek bones (with lips in the "assumed" position) are defined enuff ... and this girl doesn't have the "pudge" on the tip of her nose ... IMO
