I am always getting ahead of myself! Sheesh!

Hello everymonkey!  I have been reading/lurking all day and finally caught up just now.

I really wish the Anthony family would just say SOMETHING in regards to denying ever abusing Caylee, I mean, they love to deny every little other thing that comes up
-the mickey mouse dress
-that the cadaver dogs hit twice on the trunk
-that Cindy and Casey had problems
-etc.

I am an only child but...if someone accused me of abusing ANYONE (especially a sibling, if I had one), I would want to face these allegations and deny them right off the bat...
why isn't this Michelle Bart woman doing that??

Looks like the server was down for a while.  I did email Dugga and I don't know if he resolved the problem or if it resolved itself.  Everything looks OK now

What did you bring me from your shopping trip, huh??

OK the lady from the plane is bothering me. If she sells dogs and they have papers then they should be registered with ??????? does anyone know the name of the group that would keep these records. I want to see if I can find them and call them to see if these records are public and are on the net to take a look see.

Do you mean the AKC?

http://en.allexperts.com/q/Show-Dogs-3156/AKC-CKC-Registration.htm
So the only registry in the USA that stands behind it's papers scientifically with DNA is AKC. The registry with the best reputation in the USA is AKC. The registry that offers the most for the pet owner, breeder, show dog, obedience dog, tracking dog, flyball dog, etc. etc. etc. is AKC. And it has been that way for years.

Thanks so much

It looks like Sean K. has departed TDBS, because his cancer has gotten worse. The way he described his health it sounds horrible.

He has a gross way of describing things.

Shari, you and I are on the same page.  Cindy jumps up and denies the most insignificant details and yet she is letting these rumors/accusations/reports of abuse within the family stand unanswered.  It is odd beyond belief.

Maybe she and George and Lee have hoped that Casey would not implicate them in any way.  But Casey has little reason to be loyal if she heard some of the things that Cindy spewed to her friends.  "My daughter is a sociopath.  My daughter lies all the time.  Better check your bank account if you have had her living with you."  Those are not direct quotes but close to things that Amy and others say that Cindy told them about Casey.  Likewise, George really said some stuff about Casey to the cops, including that he doubted she had been working, that she stole from them, that her car smelled like a dead body and he thought Caylee might be in the trunk, etc.  And while Lee and Casey seemed close, even high-fiving one another for a while, he has dropped out of the limelight and seems cut off from her and the parents now.  And his refusal to provide dna or take a lie detector test started some rumors.

Now we have the docs in which Tony and Nate say that Casey told them she had been abused, and Cindy says nothing about that.

I find it so interesting that the family seems to be having no contact with Casey and have to believe that Baez and her other attorneys want it that way.  Perhaps they fear a frightened and vulnerable Casey will blurt out something during visitation with family.  But I also wonder if he is planning to mount an "abuse excuse" defense in which one or all three of the closest relatives -- George, Cindy and Lee -- are accused of abuse.  Casey apparently told Tony and Nate that she had been abused by her father and brother.  If that is true, she probably told Baez the same thing, and since he has so little to use in the way of a defense, he would probably jump at the chance to paint her as an abuse victim.  He said that once we know all the facts, we will "understand" why Casey behaved as she did.  Most people could never understand a mother failing to report a child as missing, acting as if nothing had happened, not looking for her child and even partying after the child disappears.  But people often can understand and even sympathize with a woman who has been abused as a child or young person.  With so much out there to turn people against Casey from her own odd behavior to her promiscuity to her possible connections to porn and all the lying, what else does Baez have but the abuse excuse?  It might not get her acquitted, but it may save her from the death penalty or life without parole.  On the other hand, wouldn't he have to put her on the stand if he goes that route?  And why do the Anthonys fail to comment on those rumors, accusations and statements in the documents?  It seems they would want to strongly deny any type of abuse from family, but so far, they have been mum on that question.
Then we have Lee's story of Cindy choking her. Oh yeah, I can see this happening. I want to take a look at the Menendez story to see if there are any similarities, like such a small witness list. If this is what he is planning, it would make sense that he doesn't need many people. If he just wanted to avoid the dp, he should have taken the fricking deal LE offered before!! But then again, we are talking JB, not the brightest crayon in the box!

Not disagreeing w/you..."just sayin" what's JB going to do?  He'll have to have some sort of evidence of the abuse, Tony & Nate & Jesse or whoever would just be hearsay. Is he going to put Casey on the stand and have her cry as she tells her story like that older Menendez brother I can still vividly see on the stand at his trial?  That would be an abomination.  I can't imagine anyone on the jury feeling the least bit sorry for her.  But like you said, JB isn't the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree.

Well, the biggest difference between Casey and the Menendez brothers is that the killed their parents with shotguns.  The parents were not around to defend themselves against any accusations.  But there are some similarities, if I recall correctly.  For one thing, the behavior of the boys after the crime was so unusual.  The started spending money like crazy on fancy cars and other expensive things.  They did not appear to be grieving or even that shocked.  The family was much richer than the Anthonys, too.  But the boys were presented as talented, special, etc. just as Casey was.  The boys complained that their parents, especially their dad, put a lot of pressure on them, just as Casey has complained about Cindy.

I agree, I think the Anthony family is covering for each other..."in a backwards sort of way" lol.

I think I'm going off on a completely different tangent here...even though there were a few suspect text messages (from Amy in regards to cutting butter and bugs attacking or something) I see no way Casey's friends could be involved with Caylee's disappearance.  There would just be too much to lose later.  I can see Lee covering for Casey if he believes Caylee is his daughter, and I think that's plenty enough reason for Lee to hide from the public, too.
I wonder if Casey ever told any girl friends that she was abused?
Seems like something she only shared with guys...so was she trying to turn these men against her brother and father by saying this stuff?  Does anyone know how LONG ago Casey told Jesse about this abuse?  If it was only recently, maybe Casey set this up months ago...abuse accuse excuse.

I agree LovinLife that it would be a defense that might not work at all.  But what else does he have?  Baez has a client who failed to report her child as missing, may be an amateur porn star, partied while her child was gone, drove around in a car that smelled of death, etc.  He can have experts who refute the forensics, but how can he convince a jury that Casey had a reason for not reporting a child who was missing for 31 days or that partied during that time and fooled around with two guys and stole from her friends?  How do you make such a person in the least bit sympathetic or likeable?  And that counts a lot with juries.  His only hope, it seems to me, is to put her on the stand and have her claim to have been abused in some way and unable to cope.  I am just brainstorming and maybe I am way off base, but he might try it.

I agree.  As far as I can tell, he is grasping at straws and working with what he has...which you discribed so eliquently, is pretty much going to get him nowhere.  I also agree with Boo, she should have taken the original deal when she was out on parol before the Murder inditement.

ShariVari,

I used to get pop-ups ALL THE TIME!  I checked my settings and I had them at Medium-high.  I changed settings to block all and it has since stopped.  I still get them from time to tme on my laptop.  I guess I really didn't help, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone with the pop-ups!
