Remains Of Young Girl Found In Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The remains of a young girl have been located in east Orange County in location less than a half-mile from the Casey Anthony's parent's home.

I don't think there is anyway this could be Caylee (too much time has passed for there to be a body), but I'm providing the link so we can keep an eye on it.

Interesting that it is said to be a girl.  I think there must be clothes or something to indicate that if the remains are only bones.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A utility worker on Thursday found the remains of a child in Orange County in a wooded area located less than half mile from the home of the Anthonys, whose granddaughter, Caylee, has been missing since mid-June.


The discovery was made at South Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive.

The age and gender of the remains is not known.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, 22, remains jailed in her daughter's disappearance.

Wasn't this area searched, I'm sure it must have been. Way to close to the Anthony home.

IIRC that is the area a shallow grave was found in the beginning...

COMES NOW the State of Florida, by and through the undersigned Assistant State Attorney, and gives notice that after due consideration of the facts and law applicable to this case, it is not in the best interest of the people of the State of Florida to pursue the Death Penalty as a potential sentence. Prosecutors say they don’t know if they have enough evidence to seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony, who is accused of killing her daughter, Caylee, WESH 2 News learned on Thursday.

A spokesman at the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office told WESH 2 News reporter Bob Kealing on Thursday that prosecutors have not taken the death penalty off the table, because the case is still developing and they hope to find Caylee’s body.

But Randy Means of the state attorney’s office said there are doubts they have enough aggravating factors to get the death penalty at this time.

If this is Caylee...there is a lot of forensic evidence in that bag.  It would be contained to the extent that matches to so many things in the car and her clothes and belongings can be checked.
