I think Casey should come clean. It is time to stop the games. The defense team needs to put their time towards helping her tell her story now and change to guilty plea. I can't believe even the check fraud stuff she pleaded "not guilty"..hello...video and signing your own name to check. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but there was an incident"another lie" where Caylee was in the car with Zanny & Casey was following & Zanny had an accident & had to go to the hospital in Tampa, blah, blah, blah. This was during the time that Casey wouldn't let the A's see Caylee. Cindy talked about it in one of her statements. It's been awhile ago & we all know why Casey wouldn't let them see her, she was dead.   

I remember that she also described Zannys injuries---Please dont let that be the truth that comes out of that lie, as far as caylee is concerned...

Russ, I have thought about that remark by Baez many times.  What could make anyone understand a mother who does not report her child as missing for 31 days?  It is hard to imagine anything that would do that. 

But if he uses the abuse excuse, that Casey was molested, that her mom was domineering and threatening to take Caylee away, that she is bi-polor and cannot deal with reality, etc., some jurors may at least give her some sympathy.

I know that she felt trapped under Cindy's thumb and that she saw no way out.  Casey was "desperate" to get away from Cindy, imo, and she did not want Cindy to have the child. 

It may have been as simple as a pyschological tug-of-war or as complex as two people having mental and emotional instabilities, but something was very wrong in that relationship between Cindy and Casey and it cannot be sugarcoated.

I think his key word was "understand", but we can't confuse understanding with excusing.  If she was molested and carried a relationship of incest with Lee it would explain how she didn't finish school, didn't acknowledge and tell the truth on the actual pregnancy, and abandoned her dream job.  It would explain the slipperly slope to sociopathy with a marginal mind in a domineering framework when she became saddled with the burden of raising Caylee.  It also explains the strange hold she has over them even today.  If the parents found out when Jesse took the test that Lee was the father, then we know the real reason George moved out and filed for divorce and why Lee moved out.  It might explain how cell phone bills got paid when they ran 500 plus a month.   It would explain her resentment towards her mother and her feeling that her father was useless.

I posit that Lee was her first love, and that is why they had that special bond which was broken when it came to light that she was 8 months pregnant.  Her and Lee's relationship became estranged after that and Lee didn't come around if George was home once George came back.  It explains her complete lack of being able to develop, nurture, and exist in a normal relationship - when perhaps she compared them all to her first love and when that love was broken with Caylee's birth - however sick and unusual it was.  I think it explains her constant need for a backup guy(s) which can derive from a sense of abandonment.

It explains the utter useless continuation of falsehoods by the family and I am curious as to Nejame's peculiar remark that  (paraphrased) "Now that Caylee's body has been found, and her death is verified, much more disturbing information will be coming to light".  What does he know?

I totally agree, it would be insane to take this to trial, esp when her fingerprints are going to be found on the duct tape, imo.

My kids get expensive stuff on Hollidays from me..Now, my oldest has a very wealthy grandma...so she gets a whole lot all of the time...

But I dont have a pot to pee in nor one to throw it out of, so when I buy expensive stuff, its a REALLY big deal....And Santa does do his best to do that every year....

BUT, my girls are very grounded...they know to be gracious and thankful to everyone..because if they dont, I will surely let them know it.....

They are loving and well rounded kids...very respectful and dont expect a handout....And I thank my God for that every day!!!

Wonder what Santa has in his bag for Casey. Maybe a a lethal dose?

OMG, IT JUST SHOWED LEE TAKING UP THE MEMORIAL IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE A FEW MINUTES AGO!!! hE SAID HE'D CALL LE IF THEY CAME ON THEIR PROPERTY!!!!   

What a total piece of shit.  All of them are.  How sick is it that they don't appreciate a gift left in remembrance of their niece and granddaughter - one that was given by the same people whom they URGED to get off their asses and start looking for Caylee.  (and many did)

So now they acknowledge that it's probably Caylee and yet people still aren't permitted to show their sorrow for the loss of this little girl?  How and why would that offend them?  Anyone who was TRULY GRIEVING would appreciate something like this, I would think. 

They sure aren't taking much time to let things sink in - God forbid the focus be on Caylee for a few days.  They are still 100% focused on Casey's defense and nothing else.   Disgusting.

Totally agree Flossy!  Poor Caylee didn't stand a chance with this family of freaks!!!!!!

i wondered last nite what was the evidence on or near the body that made LE link it to the anthonys home..
when they took the vacuums.. i figured it was for dog hair or the childs hair or .....

then i thought... hmmmm maybe there was SAND in the bag... if she had hits near the sandbox.... if she hid her in the sandbox for a few moments or some time... maybe there was SAND in the bag... or her hair... or..

This is a bit OT, but I will take some license. Actually in the larger picture of life it might be spot on topic. What creates the mindset like Casey that would become so dissociative and uncaring? What makes one think that partying like a HO is more important than caring for a child?

The acceptance of porn as mainstream has created many issues with today's youth. See what Playboy thinks was acceptable and then covers their A$$ and apologizes. I saw a commercial the other day that completely shocked me at about 7:30pm for some jean company with people ripping their clothes off.  I haven't been shocked beyond the damn smiling bob guy, and some other lurid stuff but this commercial was over the top directed to youngins...

I am the minority here I know on this, but I am a product of this sort of "stuff".  My neice who is 4, her favorite song is "Party Like a Rockstar".  The commercial I believe that Russ is refering to is the Levi's commercial, it did not bother me really....I watch the TV program "The Girls Next Door" which is about Heff's 3 girlfriends living in the Playboy mansion, I thought it was cute.  I DO NOT agree with the December cover nor do I read Playboy or Playgirl (which went bankrupt)  I am just saying though, that while I do think that Casey is a product of her environment, as am I, she had a break down in her family dynamic that played a dramatic role in all of this. I am expecting 2 children, and never could I fathom harming a bug let alone a human.
I do not believe Casey was ever really taught lying is bad, how could she when her role model within her family (the parents) were busy fighting and lying to one another?  Casey learned fast that being the drama queen got her the attention she longed for, most likely learned that from Cindy.  BOTH of them always have to be the center of attention, or in this sort of case "the victim".
I am 1 year older than Casey is, I have a Facebook and a MySpace, was chatting at age 11 in chat rooms.  The sales aproach to my age group was how to be famous.  Well, I think Casey got her wish, its outrageous that Caylee had to pay the cost.

Good points, Dolce. People can point to magazines or TV or computers all they want, but the bottom line is that children grow up imitating their role models, their parents. Casey's lying comes from watching both parents use lies to get what they want. Her lack of empathy and concern for others could be a birth defect or it could come from a lack of concern for her, from age 1-5.

The fact that she could treat her child like an object suggests strongly that she herself was treated as an accessory at that age, without regard for her feelings or her real needs.

Well I am 30...HAve 3 kids 11,9 and my youngest will be 3 next month...I did have a very bad streak growing up and my family treated me like trash....All in all I cannot stand half of what is on tv today..I get so mad..I think there is a difference between a "beautiful, naked body" posing for art and 2 dollar naked or half naked  ho's everywhere I look..

My kids are not allowed to have cable in their rooms, they do not have cell phones, nor is there any internet service anywhere other than in my living room..My oldest has an email BUT it is a service where I have to approve anyone and everyone before she can send or receive emails..I also get duplicate emails of everything she sends and is sent...Do I read them---no but at least I know who they are coming from....I teach my children to RESPECT themselves, others and their possessions..

I am so sick and tired of the lack of respect and lack of caring for thy neighbor that is out there...And the --kids will be kids---stuff.....I said to my 11 year old do you know what happens when their are no rules and parents make excuses for their children, never having consequences for their actions, never taught respect---they turn in Casey Anthony....I think there is a whole lot of youngins' out there that think they deserve what they want - when they want it.. And some how either being naked or only having the absolute best of the best brand names makes you cool now a days..

In order to have written this response you read what i had written previously about my sister being just like casey. and how i was involved in chatting it up when i was 9,10,11 and i was totally allowed...we didnt have a curfew, could rent any movie we wanted, and my parents lived out of state 6 months out of the year. i was so damn spoiled when i was younger im suprised my teeth didnt  rot. hehe. but its all with the nature vs. nurture.. yes i may smoke weed weekly, and i can drink beer like a man....but I myself am an individual with morals in high places that i work to reach closer everyday. people love me, i am flocked to. this is not a brag...i am just a geniunely nice person...i was draped in all the clothes and jewelry snooty california girls adore. but i was never boastful, i just wore it. I have always been respectful towards my elders..even now that im older...and i am in my standards an okay girl having had no boundaries while growing up...my sister on the other hand is every example of the bad apple...its just by chance if one kid comes out generally ok, and the other doesnt. in my families case my eldest brother and i are a product of proud immigrant parents thats strived for what they have achieved. my sister the middle child drank some of the casey juice and resents my parents for not having been there, when they were only gone to give her a car, a house, louis vuitton, coach...and she is 25 and out right treats my mother the same as cindy..that is why i have an insight into this case.......thanks for listening..oh yea..good job with the boundaries..but u gotta keep some slack because that leash could snap on you..and you'll have a rebelious runaway..hehe figuratively speaking. good job on being a great mom, im proud your not a casey!

She is not insane (by the law's definition), but I do think she is crazy as hell....SHe is such a sociopath...and I actually beleive that she beleives the crap she is spewing alot of the time....
