If there was tape around Caylee's mouth, then I believe it was no accident.  If you drug someone and/or tape their mouth to keep them quiet....when you return and find them not breathing, the first thing you would do is to remove the tape...maybe give some rescue breaths....no, if the tape was around the mouth, it was no tragic accident...

would a motive "to punish her mother" bring about an Insanity defense?

Who could be considered sane if that is honestly their motive...seems like that could be a defense strategy....jmo.

This is a bit OT, but I will take some license. Actually in the larger picture of life it might be spot on topic. What creates the mindset like Casey that would become so dissociative and uncaring? What makes one think that partying like a HO is more important than caring for a child?

I have recently provided many posts regarding the war on Christmas on the FP. The following one is especially offensive. The acceptance of porn as mainstream has created many issues with today's youth. See what Playboy thinks was acceptable and then covers their A$$ and apologizes. Red, there has been an ongoing war on Christmas & has become more pronounced over the past several years. Remember a few years ago when businesses stopped using Merry Christmas opting for Happy Holidays, instead! That made it all the way to my small town & my entire family was furious & openly protested some of the signs. Right now, we all have "WE SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS" bumpers stickers on our cars! I remember very well what Christmas was like when I was a child & it really hasn't been THAT long ago  Those Christmases were so special & have remained so throughout the years. Our Christmas traditions are being carried through the generations.   

Unfortunately, it's not just a war on Christmas, but a war on our dominant culture, all the things that our law and culture are based on, our Judeo-Christian heritage. When conservatives ceded our schools to the socialist teachers' unions, we've allowed our children to be brought up with no morals, no values, except for what parents teach in the home. And face it, many parents have never had the structure to pass on to their children, so now there is no one to teach them right from wrong. The situation becomes worse with each successive generation as more and more are amoral. Our jails are filled to capacity with criminals who have been taught that there are no rules except the ones they choose, or don't choose, to abide by. They are simply "housed" and most are convinced that they are being unfairly punished for being unfortunate enough to be caught by "the man" (the evil dominant culture of those dead white guys who founded this unfair country.)

I love XMas. The year I got my job at Voicestream, we had (secular) xmas music, a tree, gift exchange, and a cubicle decorating contest and team decorating contests with cash prizes. I won that one for my team. It was great.

The following year, it was all verboten. NOT because of Jews or Muslims or pagans or atheists, but because of a Jehova's witness who'd been promoted to management and couldn't tolerate the Xmas atmos.

I don't think there's a "war on Xmas," or on Xtianity for that matter. Merchants say "Happy Holidays" to appeal to a broader customer base. A dollar's a dollar whether it's in the pocket of a Christian or a Jew. MOST people are not offended if you say "Merry Christmas," but they do feel left out when the entire town is all about a holiday they don't celebrate. The "PC" angle was never meant to erode Xmas, but rather to include all faiths in the general goodwill, and not force schoolchildren to sing songs of a religion their parents don't belong to.

As for the Playboy cover, slap a baby on that boob and it's a da Vinci. If Playboy's the dominant social conditioner for your children you've got bigger problems than the war on Christmas anyway.

Ok I havesome questions-----

Casey supposedly storms off with Caylee the night of the 15th and Caylee is not seen alive again..Unless George is telling the truth and at some point Casey and Caylee return only to leave later..

So my thing is Casey had to have chloroform and duct tape on her when she left the house including a trash bag or something correct?

Because if she killed Caylee when they left the house and Chloroform was used and duct tape she had to have it on her right?And if she didnt have duct tape then she would have to actually look at Caylees face again at some point to put the duct tape on her and whatever else she did...


And what did she store Caylee in til she got home to get a garbage bag? Unless she that in her car t already too.....

If what George said was true that he saw them on June 16 then she might have come back to the house after he left for work. I really think something happened after the fight on the 15th though because LP the other day said someone saw Casey June 15th in the evening pacing in a hotel parking lot.

yesterday on dateline cindy said that after visit her father at the nursery home with caleey she saw casey that afternoon and had a family time like everything was perfect. That day was the 15? is not that day that they had a fight for the money that casey stoled?

Yes it is Cindy also says she tucked Casey and Caylee in that night and heard them on the morning of the 16th in bed....

For some reason Cindy wants you to think everything was "perfect" that day...

I saw a commercial the other day that completely shocked me at about 7:30pm for some jean company with people ripping their clothes off.  I haven't been shocked beyond the damn smiling bob guy, and some other lurid stuff but this commercial was over the top directed to youngins...

I am the minority here I know on this, but I am a product of this sort of "stuff".  My neice who is 4, her favorite song is "Party Like a Rockstar".  The commercial I believe that Russ is refering to is the Levi's commercial, it did not bother me really....I watch the TV program "The Girls Next Door" which is about Heff's 3 girlfriends living in the Playboy mansion, I thought it was cute.  I DO NOT agree with the December cover nor do I read Playboy or Playgirl (which went bankrupt)  I am just saying though, that while I do think that Casey is a product of her environment, as am I, she had a break down in her family dynamic that played a dramatic role in all of this. I am expecting 2 children, and never could I fathom harming a bug let alone a human.
I do not believe Casey was ever really taught lying is bad, how could she when her role model within her family (the parents) were busy fighting and lying to one another?  Casey learned fast that being the drama queen got her the attention she longed for, most likely learned that from Cindy.  BOTH of them always have to be the center of attention, or in this sort of case "the victim".
I am 1 year older than Casey is, I have a Facebook and a MySpace, was chatting at age 11 in chat rooms.  The sales aproach to my age group was how to be famous.  Well, I think Casey got her wish, its outrageous that Caylee had to pay the cost.

Good points, Dolce. People can point to magazines or TV or computers all they want, but the bottom line is that children grow up imitating their role models, their parents. Casey's lying comes from watching both parents use lies to get what they want. Her lack of empathy and concern for others could be a birth defect or it could come from a lack of concern for her, from age 1-5.

The fact that she could treat her child like an object suggests strongly that she herself was treated as an accessory at that age, without regard for her feelings or her real needs.

Well I am 30...HAve 3 kids 11,9 and my youngest will be 3 next month...I did have a very bad streak growing up and my family treated me like trash....All in all I cannot stand half of what is on tv today..I get so mad..I think there is a difference between a "beautiful, naked body" posing for art and 2 dollar naked or half naked  ho's everywhere I look..

My kids are not allowed to have cable in their rooms, they do not have cell phones, nor is there any internet service anywhere other than in my living room..My oldest has an email BUT it is a service where I have to approve anyone and everyone before she can send or receive emails..I also get duplicate emails of everything she sends and is sent...Do I read them---no but at least I know who they are coming from....I teach my children to RESPECT themselves, others and their possessions..

I am so sick and tired of the lack of respect and lack of caring for thy neighbor that is out there...And the --kids will be kids---stuff.....I said to my 11 year old do you know what happens when their are no rules and parents make excuses for their children, never having consequences for their actions, never taught respect---they turn in Casey Anthony....I think there is a whole lot of youngins' out there that think they deserve what they want - when they want it.. And some how either being naked or only having the absolute best of the best brand names makes you cool now a days..

Lawyers for Caylee's Mother Stand by Her Story in Planning Defense Strategy

 For months, Florida mother Casey Anthony, 22, has blamed her daughter Caylee's disappearance on a baby sitter, and Anthony's lawyers apparently are sticking with that story in planning her criminal defense -- even though they expect police to confirm that skeletal remains found Thursday are those of girl.

"If this is Caylee Anthony, that doesn't mean Casey Anthony did anything to that child," Todd Black, a spokesman for Anthony's lead attorney, told FOXNews.com on Saturday. "That doesn't determine who or what caused the child's death."

Anthony is in jail accused of murdering Caylee, but Black said Anthony stands by her claim that she dropped off her 2-year-old daughter with a sitter in June and never saw her again. That won't change if it turns out the skull and bones belong to Caylee.

"Casey Anthony handed her daughter off to a woman in a park who was with another woman in a car," Black told FOXNews.com. "Her position and the position of the law firm has been that she handed her child off. ... It would be difficult for a prosecution to absolutely tell a jury that Ms. Anthony is the one who injured the child."

It will be at least a week or two before forensic tests confirm whether the skeletal remains that a utility worker found in the woods Thursday are the girl's, but police haven't stopped looking for clues.

Well I also think this is a problem now a days children are raised to "Get that Dollar" that expensive cars,jewlery,clothes,and cash is where its at in life..

OMG, IT JUST SHOWED LEE TAKING UP THE MEMORIAL IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE A FEW MINUTES AGO!!! hE SAID HE'D CALL LE IF THEY CAME ON THEIR PROPERTY!!!!

This reminded me of the famous sign bending, the reporters constantly questioning & Lee ignoring everything. They were trying to get info out of him while he was pulling up the memorial!

Remember what the Anthonys did earlier when people who felt terrible about Caylee being missing left and sent toys and stuffed animals? Straight into their garbage because "they were dirty or smelled like smoke" or some strange excuse. These people have neither the manners or the good sense that God gives most people, and that is the least of their faults IMO.
