I think the terms are confusing. Didn't Dr. G say the "cause" of death was homicide, but the "manner" of death was undetermined at this time? Or something like that?

And there it is.  One of the defense experts (Dr. Baden) on national tv with a tiny little sample skull sitting on Geraldo's desk. The exact thing that HIS wife stood up in court and acted so insulted by when the DA suggested that might happen.

Monkey correction - Dr. Baden is not one of the defense experts (that I know of at this time) and they didn't actually ever zoom in on the skull.

Dr. Baden IMO has become a surreptitious member of the defense.

Geraldo seems to have a double standard with his attitude of "innocent until proven guilty" when it comes to Casey Anthony and yet he seems to be convicting Govenor Blagojevich in the court of public opinion.  Can we surmise he is baezed.  biased.

Yes...just as with Laci Peterson.  But with Caylee, I believe we will know after the results return from Quantico...at leats, I hope.  It also may be that Caylee was smothered, as probably Laci was..?

That's my understanding. Cause of death homocide and manner undetermined. Toxicology tests might reveal a presence of certain drugs, but that levels most likely wouldn't be shown so she issued the death certificate as it stands now.

Geraldo just showed a video taken 8/11 by Gale St John of the area where Caylee was found. Gale said the water was KNEE DEEP at that time. Can't believe she has this video and it actually helps the State's case!!

A search team said they did not check the wooded area sooner because it was under water from the summer's heavy rains. But the utility worker who provided the tip, Roy Kronk, said he had contacted the sheriff's office in August to report that he had seen "something suspicious, a bag, in the same area."

The sheriff's office said he first called on Aug. 11 to report the bag. A deputy responded but didn't find anything and was unable to locate him. Kronk called a crime hot line the following day and the information was passed on to the sheriff's office criminal investigation division. On Aug. 13, he called the sheriff's office a third time. He met a deputy, but authorities cleared the area as a place of interest in the search a short time later.

Beary said his department was investigating its response.

When the report first came out on Dec 11 and the skull was found... the address given to 911 was a little off of the exact location of the crime scene (intersection just up the road) I was thinking that maybe the same address was given on Aug. 11, and the responding officer went to the wrong location, not seeing Kronk standing up the road ??
The fact that a skull was reported might have prompted the cop to look a little further until he/she found Kronk....just thinking out loud
