This Cristmas....I wish I could help this dear Friend of mine, find out if his sone is still alive..........or if he is dead, where did they bury him, so that he can know for certain and stop wondering....Thats what I wish I could do......
How sad, and the worst part of not knowing. My husband's younger brother, we have no idea where he is, left his wife and kids many, many years ago, we really don't know if he is dead or alive.

How old is he, can the dad get LE involved? Does she have sole custody? I'm not trying to be nosy, but if he gets WIC the dad may be able to have someone track him down by that.
he would be 17 now......no the father didnt have custody.......he got wic way back when he was little but its the last known place he could find him at....

If you have his social security number, you should be able to search that database.  You might try a state by state drivers' license search, too, as he's 17.  pipl.com comes up with some good stuff, including things like Amazon wish lists and the like.

There are very few teens these days who don't have some sort of internet presence, be it Facebook, MySpace, or whatever.

Oh HH, that is so sad. I wish I could help you. Hugs
Thank You................The Mother took the boy and left and then about a year ago, someone called him and told him the boy had drowned during a trip at summer camp and hung up........The boy would be seventeen now and all he wants to know is if its true or not.................but I dont know how to find this info out.....................but I wish I could help!!!!!!!!!!

did they keep the same name or change it? Also if you have an idea of where they were supposedly at when he drowned (allegedly) I will use my super snoop nose and see what I can find. I have a strange knack for finding thing - my DH says it is that I am like a dog with a bone but I think I am just lucky.

Hmm...

yes, Hudsunn.. calm for somebody who might have happened upon a crime scene.. especially one that contains the remains of a missing toddler.    I'm not a guy, so maybe this accounts for some of my reaction.. or what I think my reaction would be were I in his shoes... but I'd be freaked out!!

Yes,the people in the neighborhood would have "heard" how freaked out I was.

HH, If you have his name and SS# you can search the SS database. If he is dead his name will be listed in that part of their data. If he is still alive, his name will not be there.

Sorry if this has been answered already, trying to play catch up.  With all the info you have you can try the Social Security Death Index:   http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/  I hope that helps.  If I think of anything else, I will repost.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.

hi monkeys!!!
I am at my parents house on their computer and it's so alien to me!  I can't smoke here, no tissues, but at least the computer is in the basement and my parents have finally upgraded from dial up!!!  so I can sneak away for some monkeying around.

I talked to my family today about the case and we all agreed that the meter reader seemed legit, and Caylee was probably underwater during some of these searches.

NG tonight is going to be a tribute to good parents...so a prerecorded show...I hope its good!

I am thankful for scared monkeys!!!!!!! it is helping me through christmas at my parents house

I'll probably have to sneak a peak from my Dad's house in the morning.  I don't smoke anymore, but I bet he'll have a hot toddy downstairs.

I'll probably watch NG. We know who want be on a tribute to good parents.

EDITED TO ADD:  At least if you find him on the SSDI that will let the father know if his son has passed.  If he had a valid social security number he will be listed on the SSDI.   If he isn't listed there then you can try and find him on other search engines such as:  http://www.veromi.net/processor.asp or http://www.peoplefinders.com/ and lastly http://www.zabasearch.com/.
I've used these on some of my geneology searches.

Here is the 'bomb' story again, for a refresher course.
It is just too strange.
Deputies told the teens that what they found was actually a bomb, nothing related the Anthony case.
LOL.......JUST A BOMB ... near a school... NO PROBLEM, lmaooooo.

http://www.myfoxorlando.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=8056962&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.2.1

there is just something soooooooooo wrong with that ...  the old saying.. STRANGER THAN FICTION certainly applies to this case...

Ran across another meaning for bomb.  Having a hard time thinking LE found an explosive there and blew it off(no pun intended)

From online slang dictionary. It was just a bomb….in other words, turned out to be nothing related to the case

bomb
verb
1.   to fail.
That movie bombed in the theatres.
2.   to be disappointing.
That party bombed.

That's interesting N2WISHIN.Do you think maybe they were using those terms since it was younger people they were talking too?

Like she said, I'm still here FWIW.  Smile  I'm having a very difficult pregnancy and I'm only in wk 15.  I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum and it stinks, makes it difficult to find the joy in anything really.  I sent my husband and son to my inlaws 2 hr's away so they could enjoy it since we didn't do a thing here at the house so I'll be alone through tomorrow evening when they get back.  I feel bad that I didn't even get Santa pics for my 19mo but I just couldn't manage it.  I've sworn to do it huge next year to make up for it though.  Think Griswolds.

I hope everyone else has a really good time though!

That still wouldn't make sense, really. I mean, is it a "bomb," in the sense of a failure, if what you find isn't a dead body? It might make sense to say that to LP or Tim Miller, but not to some school kids. And I think a reporter would definitely have clarified this if there was any possibility that LE didn't mean the word bomb literally.
