Well Monkey friends.......it has been a very long week, although it is only Wednesday. I wish you all a Happy 2009. I am a party pooper and I have earned the right to be. 19 months and 9 days w/o a drink. Will ya all please have one or eight for Nut?? I should be pretty buzzed if ya all do that 4 me

Ben Gay and Vicks Vaporub are two of my favorite remedies. Vicks under the nose and chest been happening since I was a kid. Though I never heard of it on feet and swallowing it.

If it gets below 50 Fahrenheit more than one week a year ... it's a cold state.

Heck, my husband (Mr. Romance) gave me a roll of red duct tape for Valentines Day last year.
Cannot live without the stuff, if it can't be fixed with duct tape or WD40, toss it out.

Duct Tape and WD40, the heavens open up, the sun shines, angels sing and all is right with the world!! 

My Mom would have added "Vick's VapoRub" She put it on every night and lived to be 94 1/2 but also drank lots of V-8 juice, fresh produce. I do remember her having cravings for whipped cream in the past, though 

OMG! I haven't thought of the Vick's in a while!!! My Granny used to put it up her nose!!! 

  Mine too! That, and the Vicks inhalers that she used and forced upon us kids every time we felt sick or took a car trip, gave her a deviated septum. The last doctor she saw actual asked if she had used cocaine!!

Cowsills- some agents answer to the Partridge Family, only the Cowsills really WERE a family, and yes, their mom did sing with them. Susie Cowsill was the youngest, and the boys were way cute!

I remember the Partridge Family, that Reuben guy always looked pervy. Never heard of a Cowsill though.

Thanks No Rose, I had never heard of them. I do remember Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights. Sad thing I find myself watching reruns of his show on Sunday afternoon. It reminds me of my Grandmother. Plus I actually like that show. I am a FOSSIL! 

Me too, that was a staple in my house, along with Bonanza and Gunsmoke, grandpa loved those shows.

since we are off topic i have to tell ya'll this........i don't know how many of you are familiar with Mardi Gras and Mobile, AL.  anyway the "moon pie" is a big part of Mardi Gras in Mobile.  this jackass on the city council took it upon himself to pay 9,000.00 for a giant lighted moon pie to bring in the new year (re: the ball drop in new york). now isn't that just something to be proud of....A GIANT FREAKING LIGHTED MOON PIE....it is beyond ridiculous

don't forget, WE GET TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE!!!! really, everyone goes to the grocery to & buys tons of food. my husband also buys eggs, milk & bread. i'm not sure why cause we don't have anything to put on the bread. it's just something you do.
