I am new here but have lurked around while I was waiting to be approved. I just wanted to say you do such beautiful work and wonder if you could dress up my avatar maybe with some sparkles and bows? I am in no hurry so just whenever you have time. I would like an every day avatar and maybe one for the patriotic holidays coming up. I know you havent been feeling very well and I hope you feel better soon. I have some pictures at photobucket of my avatar bigger and a couple other pictures. Here

Again, I welcome you to SM! I saw you asking for an avatar, saying you liked mlee's, alvilda's and grama's. All of those have monkeys in them. I also saw grama direct you to this thread, so I put together a couple of suggestions for you to see if you like any of them.

The first two reminded me of twins. I framed one, since you like mlee's avatar which is framed:


Brandi can you make something for me?? I try but do not have any of the abilities you do!! I was trying to make a hippie looking monkey holding a flower chain peace sign.... or do you prefer to pick one for me?

I just really like the next little guy. He can be put on many things for holiday decoration, for instance, he can be hugging a candy cane for Christmas, a flag pole for 4th of July, etc.

If you like any of them and want to use one, leave me a post here and I'll tell you how to put it into your Profile so you can use it as an avatar.

If not, that's fine. Just thought I'd give you some suggestions.

Instructions are:

Click on Profile at the top of this page, then go to "Forum Profile Information" on the left ... then under Picture, click the "I will upload my own picture" option and add the URL of the avatar to it. Then scroll down to the bottom and click the "Change profile" button. And, voila! Your avatar is updated.

If you have difficulty doing this, leave me a post and I'll ask Klaas (she is the site admin and can do it for you) to do it. But I think you can do it, you are a smart monkey!  LOL

I did some work on your avatar, from just adding a frame and sparkles to your name to cutting out the background and using a gradient background, then adding a sparkling frame.

I found a hippie monkey on the web giving the peace sign with his fingers and adapted it to hold a psychedelic peace sign. I then made a psychedelic background for it. I tried putting flowers on it but they were just too small and didn't look right. Then I put one of the flowers I was working with on the ear and instantly the boy monkey became a woman. LOL The last one, I mirrored in case you want her looking onto the page, rather than away.

Lady, I found a copy of your monkey on the web and cleaned it up so I don't need you to post it.

I also went ahead and designed for you since I had spent the time cleaning it up for decorating it. I sparkled your fur and even made your arm longer so you could be pointing out your crown!
