Hi Brandi!
First time poster, long-timer lurker! 

I couldn't decide between two of your monkey avi's, so I just decided to use a pic of my boy, Puddles!  The picture is fuzzy, but hopefully it will work okay.  Would you like to dress him up for the next holiday?

I have been decorating avatars for our upcoming patriotic holidays.

I'll see what I can do for your Puddles.

(I used to have a red, long-haired doxie when I was growing up in the 60's!)

I'll see what I can come up with for you tomorrow.

Welp, I stayed up and decorated yours, so I can sleep in tomorrow. LOL

I removed the time/date stamp from the photo and removed the red-eye (in this case, the green-eye.) LOL

These are my results. The last one has fireworks and is 196 frames long! Most animated avatars have 2-3 frames. I hope you like one of them:

WOW Brandi!  I love them all!!!  My  jaw dropped when I saw them.  I could never get the green eye off him, ALL his pictures look like that.  LOL  I was in no hurry, you didn't have to stay up!  I love them!

(Dachshunds are great, aren't they?  I was doing dachshund rescue for a few years and Puddles got me into it!)

I am glad you are happy with your patriotic Puddles. Be sure you actually watch the fireworks display in your avatar, with 196 frames, it lasts almost 20 seconds before it loops back around!

Since you liked the hippie monkey, I went ahead and made patriotic versions for you to use when/if you like. The first one is not animated, the second has the peace sign animated, and the third has peace sign and earring animated

Hi Brandi.  I just wondered if you could share what program or software that you use to make those beautiful pictures of Haleigh and others.  Like I mentioned, I have my first granddaughter and she is 5 months old and I would like to maybe make a notebood with her pictures using borders and things like you use because they just really add to a picture.  Thank you for replying.  I do not expect you to give away any "secrets" just wondering about trying to do some on a personal level for her.  HUGS!!

Congratulations on your granddaughter!

I use many graphics apps, sometimes several on just one image I make. I primarily use paint shop pro (a rather old version) and animation shop for animations. I also use photoshop elements, image ready and ulead gif animator. That's a lot of software, and it is not inexpensive. I am still learning every day and consider myself a beginner. There are many basic things I still have to learn how to do. I spend many hours every day working on images.

I did a little googling to help answer your questions last night and came upon this site that I think may be helpful to you for what you want to do: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/digitalscrapbooking/Digital_Scrapbooking_Scrapbooking_with_a_Computer.htm

It sounds like this is something you'd like to learn and be able to use as you watch your granddaughter grow up.  If, on the other hand, you ever have a set of pictures that you'd like me to design an image for, I'd be happy to do it for you. My email is brandibb @ gmail. com and you can send me the pictures and instructions if you'd like.

I hope this helps you. Graphics are fun and very time-consuming and very addictive for me. LOL But I LOVE doing them! I hope you get bitten by the bug and get as much enjoyment out of making them as I do.
