  Hi Brandi,

The little doc came over and said for you to use your unique gifts to design for your 2015 flower and vegetable garden  flower

It was not easy to get him over here but my spirits helped me out

I hope you are drinking plenty of water, eating well and drawing.

Brandi,

This is the little dress you designed for Trimm on your photo bucket page.

http://s380.photobucket.com/user/Brandi-Monkey/media/Trimm-Back/Animation9.gif.html?sort=9&o=1

I should have been clearer to which design I fell in love with.  I actually want to sew a summer dress like this but of coarse if you don't mind.

Please don't growl but I am going to change my avatar because I am afraid I will be turned into salt. Smile

I hope we will hear from you when you can maneuver around.  You will be back on your feet soon.  Prayers for you.  You are amazing.

Brandi,

Have you thought of designing your vegetable and flower garden?  This is a perfect time to make lemonade out of a lemon, I am trying to say, since you cannot
do your regular routines, take advantage of your talents and design your garden.  The days are getting longer and soon we will have Spring.

I found that Squirrels do not like Salflower seeds, (Cardinals love them, Titmice, Chickadee's, like them) where have I been?
I guess everyone, must know that, I guess, I have been in my own little world. Smile

http://www.burpee.com/vegetables/

Miss you and all the monkey's, it is silent over at the chatting place, since the name has changed.

Wuv,
Seahorse

Interesting about squirrels. Although I have caught squirrels eating my young tomatoes on the vine, our main problem is the ground hogs that live on our property. They eat just about every vegetation, but they especially like my tomato plants! I saw one have a feast on my huge mums I set out this fall! Just ate the flower petals off ... each and every one! Ground hogs are almost impossible to get rid of. We did, however, get a nice crop of tomatoes because I planted so many plants and in different areas of the property. In fact, (this is a true fact) right now, I have 4 small tomatoes on my kitchen window sill where I brought them in to ripen during our first frost. They are ready to eat! Can you imagine fresh tomatoes from your garden on your sandwich the day after Christmas? It's true!!! (I am in Virginia, it's amazing.)

I don't think the name change in our Monkey Playground has anything to do with it getting quiet. I have looked around the whole forum and found that not too many people post anymore. At least not lately. I guess everything goes in cycles. And people come and go. I am also sad to see this ebb. But it is what it is.

Thanks for your tips. I read them all!

Thanks, GE. I find anti-inflammatories help, like ibuprofen and the ginger root I take every day. I have doubled up on the ginger root and it seems to help.

You take care, you busy lady!

Brandi,

A few tips to rid yourself of your Groundhog friends.  I personally would keep them around, I love animals.  OK, I have accepted Squirrels, so cute, and not so cute.

I believe you about tomatoes on the windowsill.  I have been buying stupid Mex. tomatoes with green seeds, not what I want on a sammy.
The grocery stores only sell Mex tomatoes, what happened to California, tomatoes?

The summer of 2015, I am toying with the thought of planting tomatoes at different months, so I can harvest in October and keep the tomatoes to ripen for the winter.

I wish you a healthy new year.  We are so happy to have you around.

Brandi,

Have you thought of motion activated sprinklers?  People use the motion activated sprinklers for animals such as cats and squirrels, Smile  I would not, but never, say never.

I like animals too, Seahorse, but I don't like wild animals that undermine all of my gardening work! I spend lots of money, energy and time to plant beautiful things to look at and to eat, and for them to be destroyed in a couple of hours is beyond frustrating.

We don't have a sprinkling system on our property, so automated sprinklers would probably be out of the question, although I appreciate the thought. I had never considered that as an option for the grubby ground hogs. I believe they normally live outside our fenced area, I have witnessed them climb the fence and also squeeze under it at the gates on the driveway.

I'll look up sprinkler systems and see if they might fall into our already stretched budget. LOL

Happy New Year to you and yours, Seahorse!

Wow. Just watched the youtube video you posted and I am impressed.

Will now look them up to buy. Seems like a good idea, but I only have two hose taps outside, so I could only guard 2 areas, but at least that is two areas. Something to think about for sure!

Thanks again.

A Happy, wealthy, and healthy to year to you, and everyone on this planet.

The humane society suggests fencing tips and since the ground hog is timid, the society suggests noise tips.

I would hold off on the motion water sprinklers, they may enjoy them

PS Thank-you for all the beautiful avatars, your work is a gift that is given every day, like little masterpieces

Brandi - I think since the name was changed in the chatting place, it has not been silly like when CC was hanging out.  I live for silliness.

Sister,

Some winter designs for you. Didn't know if you'd be back in time to see any Valentine's designs, so played it safe and did winter.

Hope you like one of these enough to use.

Hi Brandi,

I was browsing through your vintage collection of avatars for the St. Patrick's Day, Popeye with blowing clovers out of his pipe Smile

Your vintage pages did not up down to 2007 -2008,  I thought that is when you created him.
Well anywho, I checked you photo bucket, it said private keep out, ouch.

I need to look into my collection because I saved all your avatars...but I save everything, everywhere in the world, too...so if you, please, find it before I do
will you please post it?

Wuv,
Seahorse

I began this thread on December 29, 2008, 12:06:30 AM.

I did not even join Scared Monkeys until August 28, 2008, 08:59:12 PM.

All of my avatars I have ever designed for Scared Monkeys is in this thread. (Except a few I dropped into the JSM thread over the years.)

Are you saying you are looking for the popeye avatar I made with the shamrocks puffing out of his pipe?

I'll look for it, but I promise you, it is in this thread.
