Copyrighting has nothing to do with my issue, Seahorse.

I just don't want to keep paying year after year for the account anymore.

There's not much need to host them, since the Forum has gotten so slow and people are not using the avatars.

I created the paid account to host the avatars for this forum.

When I stop paying, the account will no longer exist and all of the avatars and other artwork I store there will be deleted.

Brandi, please, could you direct me to the rules on how to post a avatar.

It is still snowing - I live the Twilight zone. 

I am missing those little img's things.

The placement of those are very important,

Seahorse, the forum's software places the codes for you when you select an image to use. It is not some code that you input on your own.

Instructions for changing avatars:
Click on Profile at the top of this page, then go to "Forum Profile Information" on the left ... then under Picture, click the "I will upload my own picture" option and add the URL of the avatar to it. Then scroll down to the bottom and click the "Change profile" button. And, voila! Your avatar is updated.

If you don't wish to upload it, you can click on "I have my own pic" and add the URL to where your image is hosted.

If you have your avatars only saved to your computer, then you HAVE to upload it to the forum, using option 2, as I described above. (Or upload them to an online source.) No code to remember. You are making this more difficult on yourself than necessary.

As an example, my avatar is in my photobucket account. I have clicked the second option in my "Forum profile Information" that says, "I have my own pic" and added this URL to the box: http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/Image73.png~original

No brackets or img tags needed.

Are you clicking the "Change profile" button after you make changes?

UPDATE:

Came back to let everyone know (if anyone is still around) that my hosting company, Photobucket has phased out the account I have had for years, and no longer offers it. The paid account I continued in order for people to retain the artwork I created for this forum will be deactivated sometime in January, 2018, so it will disappear from here then.

I so much enjoyed creating for people here. I got to know so many kind souls through peoples' posts and requests for artwork. This forum meant a lot to me. But I, like many others, have moved on to other ventures.

I wish you all great success and happiness in your current adventures and thank you for making me feel appreciated here over the years.
