HigherHopes:

I see you have a new image you are using for an avatar, but I designed these for you in case you's like to use the cute cats you were using:

http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/AUTUMN/Autumn-Avatars/hh3.gif
http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/AUTUMN/Autumn-Avatars/hh2.gif

One with no bows, the other have a bow on different cats. Hope you like them!

Hi Brandi are you still up?

Oh Bearly!!!

So sorry I missed your post last night! I was still up. I am always up in the wee hours!

I'll have another post for you shortly.

I am so happy you came by. Just like the old times!

~Brandi

I have had an 'out of work' house guest several nights a week for about a year now, and it has been impossible to keep up.  I let steam off in musings every once in a while though, and have been following cases here and there.  I don't know if you know this but I have a child with autism and it makes the school year full of meetings and such.  My arms and back have been killing me, too.  They are much worse than the 20 hours of labor I had with no anesthesia.  I didn't mean to bring all of my troubles to you, but just to share a little of why I was missing.  Oh, and I set up the JSM thread to give those guys a place to bring their OT stuff and I have not even been in there much.  (Waiting for pain meds to kick in).  I hope you are not sorry you asked.

How have you been?

Helloooooooo......

I hear an echooooooooooooooo.

I hope you are having sweet dreams.

Love the avis and still love trying to see what is different from one to the other.

Bearly
:

I told you I had another post for you soon.

Tonight, I found a great Indian Bear and thought immediately of you.

I made an animated background for this bear with leaves falling and added you, the bear, (I added sparkles) to it, then framed you and added the animated "Give Thanks" to it.

I know you have never used any avatar from me, but I wanted to give this to you in case you want to have it. It's a Thanksgiving avatar and I am not doing Thanksgiving avatars except on request, since I think Autumn avatars should suffice.

I know it is WAY too early for Halloween or Thanksgiving avatars, but I just thought this was a great time to show it to you for you to save, since I made it tonight for you. What timing!

At least I hope you enjoy seeing it!

http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/Thanksgiving/Bearly-best.gif

You have been a special monkey since my early days a year ago, watching you and sea searcher chat. You made me giggle every day.

I will always hold you dear to me.

~Brandi

Thanks, Brandi.  I have a really adorable Halloween Bear, but not a fall bear.  I love, love, love it!  Thanks!

Sea Searcher seems to have disappeared.  I really loved joking around with him and I miss him.  I told you I have been out of the loop.

I have several Cherished Teddies and I love them.  Thank you!

I've missed popping in here at night.  I saw your light on last night, and came to look for you.  You were here for a little while and then left.

Thanks again!  It is lovely!

Bearly,

I have always felt somehow connected to you. I am so glad you came back to say hello.

I also have back problems. I have never mentioned this online (I have been helping people online on IRC for 14 years) and I now get back seizures when I stand for any amount of time. I have not seen a doctor about this since I was diagnosed with a "slipped disc" 2 months after I gave birth to my son 29 years ago.

I had been able to deal with the pain through exercise until a few years ago after my mother died and I quit working and moving my body as I used to. Seems the "Use it or lose it refrain is really true!

I am in my mid-50's now and am not working, as mentioned. My husband's medical insurance has lapsed because his boss has decided to "find a better carrier" than Anthem. In the interim, we have NO health insurance. Scary, indeed.

I don't usually share my concerns with others, as I have mentioned, and I doubt many people will see this post, but I wanted to tell you that I share some of your medical problems, I think.

Anyway ... I do think you are a great gal and I have enjoyed your humour in the past year I have been here on SM (I think we should celebrate our anniversaries here on SM rather than our birthdays, but that is another discussion) and I miss your semi-regular posts in this thread.

I remember fondly scurrying around to make a graphic to thank you for visiting.

My best to you and I hope your medical issues become a part of your past very soon!

IRC?

I am so sorry you are having pain, also.  I am happy to be able to walk.  Last year I was in a sheel chair for a little bit because I could not stand up.

I love those graphics and started saving them on my computer after a while and often look back at them.

I am sorry your husband's company has decided to drop your medical insurance to look for a new carrier.     They should have found one before they dropped one.

I am glad you have shared your back problems and concerns with me.  It makes me feel special indeed.

I hope you are feeling better soon, too.

I have not really read the Haleigh thread for a while as there was so much fighting there, so I was checking there tonight.

Have a good night's sleep.

God bless!

Love it!  I can't wait until Trimm sees the news cart.  She will be so jealous!

Trimm:

I thought of you when I put the cart emoticon together.

You are welcome to use him anytime you want!

Oh, I wanted to mention that I did not make you an Autumn avatar because it seems you change avatars a lot, so I didn't know which one to decorate. I did make you several Halloween avatars though. And Digger too! I also heard you say you love snowmen so I made you a Winter avatar with snowmen in it. I hope that's okay with you.

I have made over 100 monkey emoticons in the year I have been a Scared Monkey! LOL

I am glad you enjoy seeing them and using them!

P.S. IRC is Internet Relay Chat. I am a very active member of a large network where I help people with all sorts of questions. Been doing that for going on 14 years now. I really enjoy doing that.

Brandi-  thank you so much!  That was a lot of work to go through-I'm sorry!     I really like this one  http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/ISpy-request.gif    becasue the colors seemed "crisper" or something to me.  Is that o.k.?  And how do I do this?  I have no idea whatsoever about avatars.  I'm sorry!

Ok, this one is the one you chose, I believe:

The URL is: http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo242/Brandi-Monkey/ISpy-request.gif

Here's how to install it:

Click on Profile at the top of this page, then go to "Forum Profile Information" on the left ... then under Picture, click the "I will upload my own picture" option. DELETE the "http://" in the box, then add your URL. Then scroll down to the bottom and click the "Change profile" button. And, voila! Your avatar is updated.

I am quite sure you can do this.

If you by some chance have a problem, I can email Klaas to change it for you. But give it a try Wink

Brandi and Bearly....sorry to hear that you are both having back pain....nothing worse!

Brandi, I am surprised that hubs employer did not get other insurance before dropping the one that he had...can you and hubs get on cobra from that insurance until new insurance comes your way?

Cookie:

Thanks for the suggestion about cobra, but it seems there is no employer's health plan to "continue."

Quote
What is COBRA?

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) requires most employers with group health plans to offer employees the opportunity to continue temporarily their group health care coverage under their employer's plan if their coverage otherwise would cease due to termination, layoff, or other change in employment status (referred to as "qualifying events").

I can't see how we'd qualify.

Hi Brandi

I was reading when you commented to Bearly that you have back problems. ((((((((HUGS)))))))))).  I do as well.  I will keep you in my prayers.

I am still around and would love some kind of Autumn look for Buddy.  Take your time . . .

He's adorable! You are lucky to have him and he is lucky to have you!
