None, My guess is that your coach hasn't had time to study film yet because he has been too busy networking and interviewing for his next job... and I mean that.  Sad.  Truly.  But GOs words are very wise... there are lessons to be learned and I know your son will learn them and be way ahead of those who failed to learn.  Proud of him and you.  Hold the head high and yell one more time for the team and our Nascar!  Hugs - Beans

Bean I suspect you are right, he's also probably got Popa working overtime on it too. No surprise there either......

I am proud of son, he's actually handled it better than I would have.

I hope your stepfather and your mother who will have to take care of him, are coping with this latest. I feel sure having this during the holiday season will be challenging.

fyi, I put a hex on TX for ya  Monkey Devil!

Thanks None - Mojos, Hexes... we'll take anything we can get.  LOL.  Just read our starting running back is at 60% and won't start.

Stepdad still at hospital but in swing bed section scheduled to be released on Saturday.  Spleen still on watch... guess 10 days is the magical date we want to reach.  And yes - my mom is very concerned about bringing him home & her ability to care for him.  Thanks for the best wishes.

Happy Day all!  Good game on tonight too!

Mangino out at KU. Seems he "resigned" to get some compensation or face "zero $" for being "fired with cause". It appears a former player came forward with documented "physical abuse" (something about a "hand injury" inflicted by Mangino).

Hard to imagine a college coach in a D-1 high visibility program daring to inflict physical injury on his players, but then I have met some not so nice coaches along the way. What a disgrace !! I will say this though, some of these players are nothing more than thugs themselves, not saying the ones at Kansas are but across programs. Fans worship the game so much that they don't care about much of this..........frightening.

Bean, I'm keeping your family in my prayers. I'm heading out for nascar's game very early tomorrow morning and praying it's not monsoons as predicted.

Wishing everyone's teams great games tomorrow and hopeful pdh is doing well.

Good luck None and travel safe!  We'll be cheering for ya.

Re Mangino... Yes the guy is a grumpy ole fart.  But trumped up abuse charges SIX or so years later is BS.  The kid had to bear crawls across the field and his hands got hurt.  Lots of kids have had this happened.  I'm not saying Mangino was a saint.  But I am saying the AD is further from one.  I still say witch hunt.

Now we get to speculate on all the coaching changes... who is going to ND?  I thought the Stoops rumors were just his agent going for a raise but now I am not so sure.. I think they should hire Callahan.  He's Irish!

ND seems to be anyone/everyone at this point in time?

Just dropped by to wave goodbye as we head out on the road, we bought super heavy raingear at the lowe's last night. Just praying this game doesn't become the mud bowl

Some big games today, notably FL vs Bama......should be a good day to stay in and be glued to the TV.

Kiwi, keep the heater on in the dawghouse for us, expect we'll be pretty wet and cold and mad too if we lose today.

Notre Dame to announce their coach as soon as Sunday... who is it?

i had to sit thru continuing education all day today ...just getting home...got to watch the first half of the game on tv and listened to the second half on the radio driving to lr.
CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR!!!!    but dang....i was proud of our oinkers....lol!!!!
against the #1 defense....we were the first team this year to have the gators down...first team to have a play longer than 27 yards....we had 4 of them not counting kick off returns. florida had 396 total offensive yards and we had 360+...very balanced....we just could not take advantage of their 4 turnovers dang it! plus 2 missed field goals adds up to another  heartbreak!
one thing being talked about here.....we had 10 penalties for 96 minus yards....florida had 3 for -16!!!...even the tv guys said we were robbed on a couple called on us and 1 that was not called on them......i know the sec doesn't want their powerhouses to lose out on the bcs but it does make you wonder???
spooky.....i think bama is better than florida! Monkey Devil!
none....glad to hear  nascar had a some fun for a change...and what a big heart to give up time for a teammate!!! give him a big
bean and pd....sorry for your losses...thanks for keeping me company in kiwi's doghouse in spirit!

ahem!!!....notice my comment back in October!!!
Alabama deserved the win today...congrats!
sure hated it for Tebow tho! what a guy....does not even care if
he cries!

None....so glad son's team will be playing us...sure wish there was some way i could be there. i could come up on the 1st and visit but would have to be back to work on the 2nd.

Bean it's so close at the half - GO HUSKERS you can win this !!!!!!!!!!!!!

there were no good passes today with our team Bean, he did send son one that was WTF moment, 7 to 8 feet off target and into heavy coverage, it's a miracle it wasn't picked off. The other team however had laser accuracy which is why their QB is so highly touted as he should be. We were on the brink of possibly losing the game when our D came up with yet one more big play with an interception. If not for our defense we would have surely lost. I will say this too, the QB tried to blame my son for his gaffe and son stood on the field and pointed right back at him in a very public way. I cannot believe a sixth year QB would do what he did, honestly I found it disgraceful. What a joke. My mother bless her heart stayed for the entire game, rain or not, we had her bundled up. She had on her mink jacket under a heavy poncho I got her  she's a hoot and a trooper.

cuz, you and auburn were the teams I was praying we wouldn't have to face? Oh well......we will be heading to the game but going to stay with a former college roomie which will be a wonderful visit - we haven't seen each other in 6 years so really looking forward to the time with her as much as the game.

we watched the bama/florida game after son's game, it was interesting to hear what he had to say about Greg McElroy. They were good friends when he was there, still are in touch but he told me things I did not know about Greg. It seems he's "brilliant" in the classroom but son said he's equally as brilliant an offensive mind - he made the statement if Greg's body could do what Tebow's can, with as smart as Greg is, that he would be the top QB in the nation hands down. I'm not fond of Saban as we all know, but I am very happy for Greg and the team. I do wish FL and Tebow all the best too, there are few young men as talented as Tim Tebow and he has been an exceptional leader for the gators.

Bean, I'm pulling for you - wouldn't it just be wonderful if bo and the team pulls this win off?

GO HUSKERS !!!!!!!!

We also need to remember that it was pdh who earmarked McCoy for greatness early on.....

News flash we've found out where the luck of the Irish has gone! Texas has found it!! Sorry Bean 2 penalties gave it to Texas. I have a new idea for a combined team. Huskers defense and Wolverines offense.
Congrads to Bama, Texas and None.

I am proud of the way they played.  It is a shame what could have been if we had even a mediocre offense.  I am still hurting over this loss.

Bean, you have a lot to be proud of. You have kept the faith with Bo and he really has brought the program so far so quickly. Next season it will all come together.

Kiwi, we are going to play AZ in the Holiday Bowl/San Diego.  We are a 1 pt dog.  Guess they saw our offense. Should be interesting since it'll be the Stoops bros against the Pelinis.  These guys were all high school teammates.  Bob is the oldest but these 2 are younger like Bo and Carl.

None, thanks.  I am hearing that either our OC will get rid of the WCO or be gone.  I can't watch another year of that mess.  Its a combo of things really and only the coaches know the full story.  But man they got progressively worse. Never saw a QB get scared like that. Totally different guy in practice they say.  Played awesome in the early games against lesser teams also.  Man.  We were in the top 10 in offense last year I believe.

Oh well.. now I will cheer Mr. Suh on in the Heisman race.  It's an honor he got the invite.  LOL  Bo has to dress up alot this month. And speak in public. His favorite thing.

So who is everyone else playing in the bowls?  I haven't paid that much attention.  Anyone going to any of them?

Bean, read this passage from ESPN and McCoy and I think you'll see a bright spot for the Huskers:

Suh set a Big 12 record with 4.5 sacks and a team-high 12 tackles in a 13-12 loss to McCoy's Texas team in the Big 12 title game. McCoy struggled with a season-worst three interceptions and was sacked nine times, but still led the game-winning drive.

Suh was on fire and it's often those stories of the later bloomers that are the best.

I bet Bo cleans up real nice too
