Kiwi, we are going to play AZ in the Holiday Bowl/San Diego.  We are a 1 pt dog.  Guess they saw our offense. Should be interesting since it'll be the Stoops bros against the Pelinis.  These guys were all high school teammates.  Bob is the oldest but these 2 are younger like Bo and Carl.

None, thanks.  I am hearing that either our OC will get rid of the WCO or be gone.  I can't watch another year of that mess.  Its a combo of things really and only the coaches know the full story.  But man they got progressively worse. Never saw a QB get scared like that. Totally different guy in practice they say.  Played awesome in the early games against lesser teams also.  Man.  We were in the top 10 in offense last year I believe.

Oh well.. now I will cheer Mr. Suh on in the Heisman race.  It's an honor he got the invite.  LOL  Bo has to dress up alot this month. And speak in public. His favorite thing.

So who is everyone else playing in the bowls?  I haven't paid that much attention.  Anyone going to any of them?
Like predicted --- we play Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl (at the new "Jerry World")!! Dallas!!!
Where the Huskers just played!!!

You going Wreck?  Here's what I read... $70 to park at stadium and surrounding lots.  $8 for a small beer and $10 for a large.  $75 for a pizza. ha ha ha  $15 for a burger.  Place is beautiful though.  Lots of ego went into that.  Oops I mean money. LOL

I think you CAN pay $70. or more for parking -- you can find it for a "bargain" $40.00! The joke around here was that the $1.2 billion stadium was paid for in full after the first Cowboy pre-season game --- on concessions and parking alone!

What we were told was that parking at the stadium is $70 and parking at the lots surrounding the stadium, which he also owns, is also $70... anything less than that is a serious bus ride.  LOL.

Yep... smart businessman.  Nice joint but I don't want the Big 12 CG there every year.

Read you can get tickets real cheap to that one.  Fans are real PO-ed.  All season everyone said that TCU and Boise could prove themselves in the bowl games... BCS showed them huh?  I feel sorry for them.  Would have loved to have seen how they fared.

The BCS is very underhanded. EVERYONE wanted to see how these these 2 deserving teams would fare against the "big boys". If they were successful, it would throw the whole "system" under the bus  (deservedly so!!). So, they put these 2 up against EACH OTHER -- and once again the bogus BCS lives on another year unchallenged.

I have a chance to purchase Fiesta Bowl tickets for that game. The bonus is the option of tickets for next years NC here. The time to purchase that package may be close to expiration.  What does the Dawghouse think?

Do it!  Should be a good game.  NC games are always fun but worst case you have tickets to sell.... and if any of our teams are playing we will gladly oblige.  LOL.

Hi Muffy

I'm sure Bean is pulling for Suh and the monkey bama fans for Ingram, where is BOC to cast his vote for Tebow?

Anyone surprised about ND hiring Kelly? I can think of one coach who is likely not happy about it

well riding off now, still working around the clock

He is a monster and has been all season.. just alot of our games weren't on national TV.  Someone took his 2009 stats and compared them to the entire TX 2009 defensive team stats and he had them beat by a mile.  He is that good.

Even cooler is he is a fantastic person.  If he doesn't win it proves what we already know - the trophy should be renamed to reflect what it is.  Not just a SUH thing - shame that players outside of QB, RB, WR don't have a shot at it.

He DID win the Outland (and about every other Defensive Award) last night! Maybe he DOES have a chance at the Heisman!!

Called on the Fiesta Bowl / National Championship tickets, but they were sold out. They did add me to the list. Guess I shouldn't have waited till Dec to purchase them. I'll try harder through the year to find the NC portion of the tickets.
Bean its possible that Charles Woodson from Michigan was the last non QB-WR-RB to win. He played both defense and offense in the same games. He is doing pretty well in the NFL now and playing for I believe the Packers. Yes Mr. Suh would be deserving. Plus, hopefully the Cardinals will draft him!

Since it is hard to get STATS for defensive players... to put in perspective Suh's performance for this year (hat tip to whoever did all the work on this):

Check this out (these are totals for the entire defensive lines for Alabama, Florida, and Texas versus Suh's individual stats):

Alabama Season Totals
98tkl - 23.5tfl - 9.5sk - 20qbh - 5pbu - 0int - 1ff - 3bk

Florida Season Totals
112tkl - 33tfl - 14sk - 48qbh - 5pbu - 0int - 1ff - 0bk

Texas Season Totals
116tkl - 25.5tfl - 15.5sk - 10qbh - 7pbu - 0int - 2ff - 0bk

Suh Season Totals
82tkl - 23tfl - 12sk - 24qbh - 10pbu - 1int - 1ff - 3bk

tkl - tackles

tfl - tackles for loss

sk - sacks

qbh - QB hurries

pbu - passes broken up

int - interceptions

ff - fumbles forced

bk - blocked kicks (field goals, extra points, punts)
